SQL Files to backup
At the moment we are backing up all 5 vault pro databases (dragnet, master, notifications, vault, vaultindex) The index is by far the largest and is making moving backups around rather unwieldy. Do we need to backup the index database, or will that be rebuilt if we restore the other dbs? Thanks Rich...

Re: Slack and Vault
Thanks, I will have a look at notifications in that window - the thing about Slack is that it keeps them in a centralised, searchable view which also serves as a project archive.

Re: Slack and Vault
Beth - yes, exactly that. I get that via email notifications at the moment, but having it integrated into Slack would be much nicer and more useful.

Slack and Vault
Don't suppose anybody (at Sourcegear or elsewhere) has worked on an integration with Slack (www.slack.com)? Quite a few other source code systems work with it, would be nice if Vault could too. I'm thinking that notifications from Vault ("Joe checked 8 files in") would appear in a nominate...

Re: Vault 8 features
Jeff - thanks for the quick reply, and I look forward to hearing and seeing more nearer the time. We've been really impressed with Vault the last 2 years we've been using it.

Vault 8 features
So now I see you have a preview of the OSX/Linux client - any other info you can give us on what's in Vault 8, and when it can be expected?
Thanks

Vault 7 - Search Panel
Just upgraded from 6 to 7 and liking the docking panels very much, but the Search Results are a bit irritating in that they seem to reset the column widths every time I change my search criteria. eg. If I search for Files Checked out by Bill, I resize the columns to see what I need, then change it t...

Re: Vault Professional 7.0 BETA
Thanks for the update. I wasn't aware that you were looking for suggestions, I think I have previously suggested that the ability to analyse number of changed LOC by user and file type would be very useful. I'll forward to you what I sent to an earlier Sourcegear sales rep some time ago. Regards Ric...

Re: Vault Professional 7.0 BETA
News on v7 seems to have dried up a bit. I see one quite valuable feature has been pushed back to a 7.1 release.
Any news on ship dates? More screenshots? Did the beta test happen - don't remember seeing anything about that.

Re: Vault Professional 7.0 BETA
Sorry, on scanning this thread again I was perhaps a little lacking in enthusiasm when responding to the screengrabs: the docking view in the GUI Client looks much better, and overall the changes look really promising. We found the current version of Work Items/Bug Tracking a bit too laborious and i...

Re: Email notifications for shelving operations?
Yes, thanks, I know about viewing them in the web client - I was looking for a more pro-active method for alerting people that a file has been shelved. Typically a shelved file is more at risk of more conflicts (unless the developer keeps it checked out) so some kind of flag against shelved files in...

Email notifications for shelving operations?
Can't see an option for this, it would be useful for my team if we could be alerted as to who had shelved files without having to explicitly look through the shelvesets.

Re: Vault Professional 7.0 BETA
Many thanks.
Bit disappointed the Desktop client hasn't got a ribbon interface a la SourceOffSite, but I'll survive.
Any chance of some screengrabs of the new reporting/stats functionality relating to activity on the repository?
