Also, we were actually already using scenario 2b Option 2b: Move a bit toward edit-merge-commit, but not all the way: turn off only the “Always request exclusive locks” option. Except that we haven't made our project files mergeable. But... the problem I'm describing, is it a misconfiguration or a l...

Hi, I've just emailed you a screenshot. The first thing I did today was to open VS2008 and wait... and after a few minutes it popped up. It's just a normal Messagebox saying that the project has already been checked out. In the Project Explorer, you can then also see the checkout icon. I just realiz...

It's a .NET 2.x C# Solution, with a mixture of Assemblies, Windows Forms and .ASMX WebServices.

The log may be a bit delayed. I'll email it when I can and include a history of this conversation.

Let me note that even when not touching any of the files in that particular project(1 project out of 21 others in one solution), the project itself gets checked out. I have experienced that while talking on the phone and not touching the keyboard, it pops with a warning saying that the project is lo...

Sorry for the late reply. I was actually waiting for a reply notice email which never arrived.

I use the SourceGear Vault Enhanced Client.

Unfortunately, I don't have Debug Log enabled... I'll try and get the log emailed to you.

Commit: Ending Transaction freezes

I have experienced quite alot of time where when checking files, it will get stuck at Ending Transaction and a 100% progressbar. At first I thought it was due to large uploads, but this time, it was two small source files. Each time, it gets stuck, there doesn't seem to be any way of cancelling or g...

Did you ever find the source of this problem? I've been experiencing it as well, since upgrading the client to version(the server was also upgraded) 4.0.5.15922 I do have VS2005 plugin selected. Until today it was always one project in my solution out of 10 that failed. That particular project was a...
