Upgrade from Vault Pro 6.1.0 directly to 9?
Can I upgrade from my current Vault Pro server and clients version 6.1.0 directly to version 9?
Upgraded test platform from 6.1.0 to 8 with no problem, but now since 9 is out, would rather upgrade directly to 9.

Re: Upgrading to Version 7?
OK.
Thanks very much, Beth.
We will start the ball rolling to undertake the upgrade. It's never a good idea to get too far behind the latest versions.

Upgrading to Version 7?
Currently running Vault version 6.1 using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, 2012 SourceGear Vault Professional Visual Studio Enhanced Client. Some developers suggest good reasons to move to Microsoft Visual Studio 2013. However, there is an indication that SourceGear Vault Professional Visual Studio Enh...

Re: Renegade .vbprj file in Visual Studio 2010
Thanks, Beth! I confirmed that the file wasn't checked out by another user, that Auto-check out feature wasn't/isn't turned on, and that OnEdit is set to "check out automatically". However, it is possible that the file had been set to "writable" outside of Visual Studio. So that ...

moving projects between repositories
Greetings, I have two repositories set up - one for active projects, and one to hold old, finished, legacy projects. I have a project that is no longer active, and would like to move it and all of its history from the "active" repository to the "inactive" repository. It is wholly...

Renegade .vbprj file in Visual Studio 2010
Greetings, and my apologies if this topic has been covered elsewhere... I use your SourceGear Vault Professional version 6.1.0 Visual Studio Enhanced Client with Visual Studio 2010. For the most part everything works as expected. However, on occasion, I will be working in a Visual Studio project, an...

Re: Emergency: Vault Clients hang on startup
I sent the server logs in relation to another topic, having to do with the "Find" function not working. It appears that the procedure for "clearing client cache" corrects this problem, at least temporarily. However, clearing client cache doesn't seem like a sustainable solution, ...

Emergency: Vault Clients hang on startup
We have Vault Professional 6.1.0.30531 I have perhaps 20 developers using it. At least half of them are currently stuck, because when they launch their Client, it hangs indefinitely at the point of "downloading repository information from the server". Repository tree structure shows in lef...

Find In Files not working.
Currently have SourceGear Vault Professional Version 6.1.0 (30531) Have been migrating large quantities of source code from Visual SourceSafe. Successful imports so far. Users have been saying however that "find in files" doesn't work. May find one or more instances of a string, but not al...

Re: GUI Client unable to connect to VaultService
Thanks Linda,
this issue is now cleared up.
We have purchased the full-on Vault Professional, and are running with it.
Currently migrating very large amounts of source code from Visual SourceSafe.

GUI Client unable to connect to VaultService
I am a newbie to SourceGear Vault and have just installed the 10 user eval version of Vault Pro 6.0.1 The install had a few issues, but I am confident that the server side is now in place. Installed the client on my workstation (Win7) seemingly without issue. When I launch the GUI client on my works...
