Re: Upgrade from v10.0 to v10.2 Fails - Website Lost

For anyone that comes across this thread in the future, the issue was that we were performing an upgrade, not a new install and the following 4 users were listed in differing combinations under each of the sgmaster, sgnotify, sgvault, and sgvaultindex databases but did not exist under the global Sec...

Re: Upgrade from v10.0 to v10.2 Fails - Website Lost

Requested files attached (extensions changed from log to txt because your site will not allow log files to be attached). As we have for all previous installs, we selected Process Model "Machine (IIS AppPool)". The Authentication was SQL Server, using the sa account, again, as we always hav...

FYI - Retrying the install produces the same error.

Upgrade from v10.0 to v10.2 Fails - Website Lost

I just left a voicemail for Tech Support with this same information. I am currently trying to upgrade my Vault Standard Server from version 10.0 to version 10.2. Everything seemed to be going OK but when it reached the "Checking permissions on local folders" step (see attachment), I got a ...

Re: SQL Server Upgrade 2008R2 to 2019

One more question, I find that SQL Server 2019 can be installed and run on Linux. Can Vault Standard 10 successfully connect to and run using the Linux version of SQL Server?

Re: SQL Server Upgrade 2008R2 to 2019

Thank you for that but apparently I did not make my primary concern clear. We are on Vault 10 already but when we upgrade from SQL Server 2008R2 to 2019, will there be any issues if I do not put the database in compatibility mode? I presume from your previous response that there will not be but I wa...

SQL Server Upgrade 2008R2 to 2019

We are planning on migrating our SQL Server database from 2008R2 to 2019. I know 2019 can maintain compatibility with 2008R2 but that is basically kicking the can down the road until a future version comes out that no longer supports that compatibility, so I have two questions: 1. What do you recomm...

Find In Files Not Finding Existing Text

We randomly have problems with the Find In Files feature not finding things but today I cam across one that I was able to get specific for. We have a number of .Net projects in Vault, 48 of them in the repository I am currently using. After successfully rebuilding the index to ensure there were no i...

Find in Files Error

When performing a Find in Files from the Vault Standard client version 10.0.2 (936), depending on the search parameters, we are getting the following error: There is an error in XML document (1, 44816) Some searches will work if we limit the scope or document types but other searches will not work a...

File/Folder Exclusions Bypassed

I am running Vault Standard Server and Client (both v10.0.0.736). We have several file and folder exclusions setup for our repositories however: If show non-version controlled items is turned on, the user can right-click them and choose to add them. if the user drags a folder tree and or files from ...

Re: Cannot drag-drop from Windows Explorer

It interesting that this is documented as a new feature, since I know I used to be able to do this, so from my perspective it is more of a fix. Nevertheless, upgrading to Vault Client 9.1 did resolve the issue. Thanks!

Re: Cannot drag-drop from Windows Explorer

My PC gets rebooted every day (shut off in the evening and turned on in the morning). We get regular Windows updates pushed to our PC's by our IT department. The requested support information is below though I am not sure why it only shows me running .NET Framework 2, since I also have .NET Framewor...

Cannot drag-drop from Windows Explorer

Recently, though I am not certain when it started, I have been having problems dragging/dropping files from Windows Explorer into Vault, which is the primary method I have always used to add new items to Vault Standard. After doing some testing, I have come up with the following general observations...
