Re: Changing connection to SSL
There's no future plans to update Vault or the Extension to make it work in 2015 in 1.1/1.2, correct?

Re: Changing connection to SSL
Tonya, Before I make the switch, I want to make sure I am understanding your points correctly. In order for me to run this on my Visual Studio version, I would have to: Cease using the client in Visual Studio and set the source control option to 'None' in options. Begin using the standalone client f...

Re: Changing connection to SSL
I have Visual Studio 2015. I want to use this in SSL with TLS 1.1/1.2. SSL would not be disabled.
So, would the VS client work with this?
"Vault GUI Client update for TLS 1.1/1.2", would only apply to the standalone client, correct?

Re: Changing connection to SSL
Tanya,
Most of the time we use the VS Enhanced Client. However, we do use the standalone client occasionally.

Re: Changing connection to SSL
Tanya, What does this one do, "Vault Command Line Client update for TLS 1.1/1.2"? Just to clarify, if I extract it into a different directory, under "Program Files(x86)", the client will use the new binaries, regardless if it's in the SourceGear folder? I would also have to tweak...

Re: Changing connection to SSL
It says I need to contact technical support for configurations. What configs will need to be made?
Also the vault url is stored in the Visual Studio solution file. Would I need to update it there as well?

Changing connection to SSL
I have Vault Standard 10.0.2. I am transitioning to use SSL TLS 1.2 and I found a post here, viewtopic.php?t=22873 , that mentions in the notes that the plugins may need to be updated. The post is several years old. Would that still hold true today?

Multiple Vault installations.
We were thinking of putting vault on SQL Express, however there is a 10 GB limit on database size, of which we have reached. We were thinking of splitting the repository into two, hosted on different servers. We would probably have to start fresh. Can we install vault on multiple servers? I'm not su...

Re: Moving to SQL Web
We might be sticking with the same version, but use a different edition. We currently have SQL Server 2008R2 Standard, and probably going to SQL Server 2008R2 Web. Can you verify that it particularly supports SQL Server 2008R2 Web? I should've started with this as my initially. I apologize that its ...

Re: Moving to SQL Web
May I ask why in that chart that between SQL server 2005 to 2014 where it specifies an express edition, whereas 2016 and 2017 versions don't have it? Can you give a full list of databases that vault creates for version 8 standard, that I would need to migrate to the new SQL server? Not sure if the v...

Moving to SQL Web
Hello, We are thinking of changing our SQL Edition from Standard to Web. Is the SQL Server Web edition, compatible with vault? The compatibility chart here, http://sourcegear.com/vault/documentation/compatibility_chart.html doesn't specify if SQL Web is supported and some have Express explicitly sta...

Re: Moving the vault website
Beth,
The database is going to stay where it is. Thanks. I wanted to know if there would be issue if I install vault to the new server with out uninstalling it from the old server.

Curious, could I just install it on the new server? The old server is going to be shutdown after the migration is over.

Moving the vault website
I am using vault 6.1. When it installed it created a website in IIS. We are migrating our websites to MS Server 2012 R2 and I need to move the site vault created. How would I go in doing that?
