Feature Request - Easier access to setting notifications
I *FINALLY* upgraded from version 5.x (I know, I know) and love the new notifications feature. I do have a suggestion to make it easier to use though... It would be really nice if either in the vault client or Visual studio you could right click a folder or item and add/remove an explicit notificati...

Re: Feature Request: Checked out files reminder and notifica
I've entered the feature requests. Thank you for your feedback. Users can also check their own check out lists through the use of the Search tab at the bottom of the Vault GUI client. F: 16275, 16276 I use that feature all the time. My concern is mostly with developers who aren't so conscientious a...

Feature Request: Checked out files reminder and notification
One issue on our team that I think Vault could easily solve is that developers tend to check out files intending to work on them then get busy on something else and forget to check them back in or undo the checkout. As an admin, I go in the system occasionally and undo old check-outs, but it would b...

What is the best way to move a folder between repositories?
Long story short. A developer checked a project into the wrong repository and before I noticed there was a considerable amount of history/check-ins on that folder.
Is there a way to easily move a folder and all the associated history to a different repository?

Last Checkin person/Date column in client
Is there a way to add a columns in the vault client item list to display the name of the last person that checked in a particular item and/or the date of the last checkin?
If this isn't possible, can I suggest it for future versions of Vault?

Vault Client is slow connecting to the server first time
Having an issue recently with the SourceGear client. The first time I connect to our Vault server from the Vault client application each day it takes several minutes to make the connection and load the tree of files. After I connect, everything seems to operate at normal speed, and I can even close ...

Source Control for SQL Server Databases
RedGate tools has just released a pretty cool product that allows you to manage your database objects in source control right from SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). They support vault yet, but have opened a UserVoice site where you can vote for adding Vault integration to the product. I was hopin...

Re: Finding ShelveSets
Add my vote for the ALL option in the web client. One of the planned uses we have for shelve-sets is to set aside code that we started on, but due to priority shifts are going to have to set aside for later. In these cases it seems a little silly to have to remember which user shelved the change whe...

A Modest Proposal re: Vault Installer
I just got done upgrading Vault from 4.1.2 to 5.0.3, and the process was just as painful, if not more so than the last time around. Can I make a few suggestions to the team at SG responsible for the installer? 1) Pre-flight check for server installer I got half-way through the install and apparently...

Can I bind to multiple repositories in the same solution?
In Visual Studio 2008, I have a solution that includes projects stored in multiple Vault repositories. I tried to bind them, but it appears that I can only be connected to one repository at a time. That is, after I bind the solution file, it doesn't let me pick the repository again when binding the ...

E-mail Settings page in admin screen
Found an annoying quirk today with the web admin screen for setting e-mail settings. I wanted to change the ServerURL setting to change http to https, and when I made the change it seems to have overwritten the SMTP password even though I didn't change it. Unfortunately I didn't have that password a...

Troubleshooting e-mail connectivity
One more thing. I checked the help files, but they are a little ambiguous on this point. When I am monitoring a file, what activities will trigger a notification?
