Re: Unable to parse repository info from project file

Just to post a follow-up to this thread.

It seems doing a manual unbinding of the solution and projects ( viewtopic.php?f=13&t=18956&p=70077#p70077 ), and subsequently re-binding the items resolved the issue.

Re: vault.exe: GETTIME

Hi Thomas, The feature request is still marked open. A note is on the bug about using CREATE_FCA or the "Folder Changes Archive" within the GUI client. To achieve the desired results. Have you looked at the CREATE_FCA command? You could set a begin date of Jan 1, 1970, and then an end date of whatev...

Re: Report on Folder Security

Take a look at the the rows in the view "[sgvault].[dbo].[userrepositoryaccessgroup]". This is a view which presents all users and their selected groups. The view has a repid (repository id) column which you can use for filtering / sorting. The "xid" (when not null) will be the "group" from [sgmaste...

Re: VS2019 Vault Pro extension

Wow!! I don't have .NET Framework 4.8 installed, so that option is disabled, but I'll do some debugging down the road to see what gives. At least now there's a current work-around. @ThomasH, Nice Find! We solved it for our machines: Disabling "Optimize Rendering for screens with different pixel dens...

Re: VS2019 Vault Pro extension

One other thing to check that may provide some more detailed information. Can you check for a VaultVsipClient-VS-16.0.txt file in your %TEMP% directory. If one is there, and it has a timestamp that coincides to your last use of Visual Studio 2019, can you please compress / attach and email it to sup...

Re: VS2019 Vault Pro extension

OK. I created a copy of BigBrettExample, this time bound to Vault Standard (vaultdemo.sourcegear.com). It is found in pretty much the same repository path $/jeff test/BigBrettExample. @rheldt, can you give that a try, and see if there's any change? If you invoke File -> Vault Source Control -> Refre...

Re: VS2019 Vault Pro extension

After upgrading to VS 2019 16.1.3, and opening the BigBrettExample project to check out a file, I still cannot recreate any issues. (See attachment below) I don't think it matters, as I tried in in "Dark" color theme, but my theme is "Blue". Regardless, the Pending Change Set shows the check out, an...

Re: VS2019 Vault Pro extension

Hmmm... there's no special painting or owner drawn code in those panes. We haven't encountered that behavior on anything within VS 2019. The Vault Extension for VS 2019 is compiled against .NET 4.5.1 Framework, and not .NET Core. Is .NET Framework 4.5.1 or later installed on your system? Also, I tes...

Re: VS2019 Vault Pro extension

Can you try a test? (Note, my version currently is VS 2019 16.1.1, and I'm assuming you have C# / .NET available as one of your supported project types.) Start VS 2019, and click the "Continue without code" link. Once VS 2019 starts, verify Tools -> Options: Source Control reads "SourceGear Vault Pr...

Re: VS2019 Vault Pro extension

Were you using an earlier version of Visual Studio 2019? If so, did that show the same problem? Did this redraw / transparency problem just start happening (ie. it was working fine up until yesterday, and then after some event, like a VS update, it starting occurring?) If you undock the pane and kee...

Re: Keyword Feature Enhancement

OK. I understand, and perhaps should have asked for more details in my earlier post. What I had recorded was to keep the last "top" of N comments. So, for example, KW has some type of formatting that says, "N:3". You check in version 1, 2, and 3, and the history expansion occurs. On the 4th modifica...

Re: Keyword Feature Enhancement

The feature request I added was to add some delineation that would put a limit / cap on the # of entries that could be found with KW (knocking off the bottom most entry once that limit is reached). There might be some difficulties as there are not necessarily delineation marks for stripping out old ...

Re: Keyword Feature Enhancement

No that is not available. I'll add this as a feature request.

As a brute-force work around, at this time any unwanted expanded items would need to be trimmed from the file before it is committed back to the Vault server.

Re: Vault database on different server?

TBH, I couldn't tell you. This is an unsupported configuration in that we've never tried. Most Azure configurations that I'm aware of end up using SQL Server installed on a Windows Azure virtual machine.

Does the Azure Deploy allow you to copy in all stored procedures and user functions?
