Transaction failed: file with same name
Hello. I have been using Vault for many years and now I found this issue. From Visual Studio 2017 I moved a file from the project root folder to a subfolder, and then created a new file with the same name in the project root folder. When I try to commit my changes, I get the message: [05/09/2019 09:...

Re: Folder import fails
There have been a few obliterates on the repository, yes. Is this something that makes Import fail? The obliterates have been on a project that I don't need. Would it work if I tried to export/import some projects with no obliterates, despite the fact that some other project in the repo did have a f...

Folder import fails
I am using the Import/Export tool to export and import some folders between repositories on a Vault Server version 10.0.1.793 installation. Export worked fine, but import fails with the following message: An exception occurred while importing a transaction for(TxID: 3222 on 11/03/2014 14:23 by Cesar...

Re: Vault installation on VS2013 preview
Many thanks, Beth. I'll see if we can upgrade to Vault 7 then.

Re: Vault installation on VS2013 preview
I have the same problem. Installed Visual Studio Premium 2013, then Vault Professional 6.1, and the enhanced client plugin is not available.
I wonder whether SourceGear is planning to fix this. Many thanks.

Re: Checking out branch
Thanks for pointing me to that FAQ. It does contain an explanation of why the disk layout makes Vault behave in that particular way.

Re: Checking out branch
Many thanks for your reply, Beth. I have managed to solve the problem, but I had to perform a couple of extra steps in addition to what you explained. Since my projects are web projects, and the source files are stored by Visual Studio under a different root than the solution file, I chose to follow...

Re: Visual Studio Solutions and Branches
Beth (and all), I am under the same stuation as davenptl. I opened the branched solution from Vault (step 4 in your list) within Visual Studio, and as soon as the files loaded in the Solution Explorer, I could see that they corresponded to the trunk version of my project rather than the branch. I ve...

Checking out branch
Hi, I need to check out an old branch of my ASP.NET web project to make some changes. I am using Visual Studio 2008 with the Enhanced Client. I am more or less familiar with how branching works, but I am not sure in which working folder I am supposed to check out the old branch. I imagine it is not ...

Adding a label on a past date
Every time I release a new version of my code I label it in Vault with the version number. Last week I forgot doing this, and now I find myself having made lots of changes since the release and not having a label to mark where the release was made. Is there any way to add a label to a set of folders...

Can't select the enhanced client in VS 2008
I am trying to follow the steps in the Enhanced Client FAQ, but when I arrive to the point where I am supposed to select the Enhanced Client in VS 2008 options, I find that only "None" and the "Classic Client" are available. No option for the Enhanced Client appears in the list. ...
