Ian: Thanks for the upd (and excellent point about the checkbox's proper role in other ops; I hadn't considered that one all the way thru!). Again, for the record: I actually LIKE the feature, I just wish there was a way (as in past versions) to keep the local copy of something thats being deleted f...

Yup, I got that; my reply re: what really needs to be done to address this was more targeted at an (eventual) SourceGear employee who (hopefully) will read this thread.

I appreciate the point, tho.

Thanks again,

Thanks, this clears it up (sort of). For the record, I actually find the feature to be really cool (helpful) but it plays not at all nicely with the 'delete local copy' choice (and intent) in the commit-pending-deletes dialog box. If this feature is to be non-optional as currently implemented, then ...

Delete Local Copy *always* does in Vault 4.1?

Under Vault 4.1 there appears to be a new feature that is conceptually quite nice around the deleting of files (local and repos) that seems different from the way it worked in Vault 4.0.x and earlier. To see this in action, perform the following steps... 1) have a file (say test.txt) in a folder bot...

Regarding the missing image, I'm not sure which one you are referring to. Could you post a screenshot? I've already fixed this at the server so cannot get a 'broken' screenshot anymore, but a screenshot is going to show just the IE browser 'image-not-found' placeholder error in place of the big gia...

Vault 4.1 Installer woes (missing GIF + wrong impersonation)

I've just run the installation for VAULT 4.1 (as an upd to our 4.0.6 install) and have uncovered an annoying 'gotcha' and also a bug. The bug is easy: the sg_logo.gif file is missing from the installer (which means you get an ugly 'image placeholder' at the head of your http://<servername>/Vaultserv...

Public Key Token DLL troubles in 4.1 downloads

I just stumbled across this and wanted to understand if its intentional or an oversight... There is a file VaultClientOperationsLib.dll that is provided in the Vault Client Library download for 4.1 (and prior versions too, of course) at http://download.sourcegear.com/Vault/4.1.0.16216/VaultClientAPI...
