Deadlocks when branching large projects
Hi, I've searched and not found anything, so maybe this is a new topic. We are using Fortress 2.0.2 on a standalone Windows 2003 server, pointing to a separate MS-SQL 2008 database server. Today, when a developer attempted to branch a project containing 4,300+ files, 400+ folders, taking up local di...

Feature Request: Fortress client notification
Not sure if this is intended for a future version or not, but here's a request. When we (fortress/vault admin) make a change, such as enabling keyword expansion or folder security, this requires that all Fortress/Vault clients be restarted. It would be nice if a message could pop up, a la SMS maybe,...

Specific admin permissions set?
Is it possible to grant a Fortress user a limited admin permissions set? For example, pin/unpin, rollback, but not have other admin rights?

Seems like this is a security hole. If someone gains access to the physical Fortress server but cannot access Fortress itself, they can reset the admin password in this method and gain access. Granted, the security on the server should prevent this. But if a technician is administering something on ...

Reports?
Is there any way to get reports exported out of Fortress? Example, say I want a list of all the files included in a folder, including all child folders. And I want to be able to copy that list to the clipboard or just save as a text file. I know I can do this in VSS, but I can't find a way to do it ...

Bug during installation process
Found a security hole/bug while upgrading the Fortress Server software today.
When the installation asks for the Admin password, if you hit cancel and let the installation close out, then restart the installation, you can reset the Admin password.
Is this by design or a bug?

Bug? Keep alive not keeping alive.
Many of our users are getting this error message at least once a day - I'm getting it several times a day, usually when changing repositories or opening a solution in VS 2005 from Fortress. (Client v. 1.1.0 16216) The Vault server could not be contacted to perform the operation. Your network connect...

Suggestion: Changing repositories
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but would it be possible in a future build to make changing repositories easier? Maybe a drop-down in the toolbar on the right side? We work with (right now) 20 repositories on a daily basis, and that number's going to double, possibly triple over th...

Just a quick update, on the chance it was the apppool recycling; we increased the time period there. I just got another of the same invalid session message less than 6 hours after the last recycle. Another thing to note, all we have running on this server is Fortress and SQL Server 2005. So we are m...
