Is there another way to enforce a valid bug tracking id in the transaction comment?

Re: Plugin Template

Is there any documentation on the return values of the Vault Plugin Service methods OnStartTx and OnEndTx? They return an int, but I can't seem to find it's meaning. I am looking for a way to intercept the beginning of a transaction and ensure that it contains a valid bug tracking id. If it does not...

Re: Java Client API: dependencies and requirements?

I am using the 4.1.3 version of the API and Java 1.6_10 (tried both 32bit and 64bit JVMs). It happens everytime in the "remote" configuration, even when this is actually the same machine and user account. local vs. remote: The Atlassian product Bamboo (a build automation software, see http...

Re: Java Client API: dependencies and requirements?

In some scenarios (when running inside a Bamboo remote agent as opposed to the main local agent), the following error occurrs: System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception of type System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException was thrown. at system.Type.GetType(Unknown Source) at clr.compiler...

Java Client API: dependencies and requirements?

Hi! We have tried to use the Java Client APIs to integrate Vault with Atlassians Bamboo product. The integration seems to work, but not on remote agents. Atlassian now claims that this may not work because the Vault library includes native (non-Java) code. Can someone clarify: - Does the Vault Java ...

When you first started using Vault, what version was it?
We are now running Vault 3.5.1, we started in summer 2005 with 3.0.x (can't find the exact version right now).

Cannot view or add labels on a folder

Hi! On one folder in our repository, we can no longer view labels or add a new label. This is very recent and only applies to this one folder. The client displays a rather unhelpful FailDBInsert message when trying to add a new label as well as when trying to display labels. The server log is more e...

VSS Import fails with thousands of errors

Hi! We decided to use Vault instead of SourceSafe and are now in the progress of migrating or sources. The first import workes (although not on the first try), but the next one doesn't: I tried three times and it never works. I tried with both our old installed version (3.1.3) and the newest one (3....

How do I do that?

I'm not sure I get your answer: I am using the IDE client and have "comments required" active on the repository. So I enter a bug ID in the "advanced" dialog (or select one using browse, does not matter) and then also enter a comment in the comment field (the vs.net default one i...

Bug Tracking Integration: How do I see the Bug # in Vault?

We have enabled the bug tracking integration (dragnet mode) and it works fine: when checkin in, we can select a bug to link to the checkin and the checkin then appears in the case. However, I cannot seem to find the information (case number) in the vault history. It would be really great to be able ...

Save the actions selection default

It might help it the default for this action selection could be set somewhere. Just as Greg, I always have to remove the Labels because we are using continuous integration and that easily generates 30 labels on a somewhat busy day... What about a preference setting somewhere with the default selecti...

Hi Linda Thanks for your prompt reply. I deleted the content of the whole C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\lvw0149\Anwendungsdaten\SourceGear\Vault_1\Client directory and tried again. I set the working directories and everything. It stays the same: Status "Unknown" and "Remote Version&q...

Remote Version -1, Status Unknown, Error 1225 on deletion

Hi! I just added a few files to a folder using the "detect new files" function. When adding, I got an error message saying that the file already existed. Now, the 3 files I added newly have a VERY strange status: they show Status=Unknown and a Remote Version=-1. Also, I cannot do anything ...

VS.NET Integration: Check-In with lost session may lose data

Using the vs.net integration, when the session has been invalidated for any reason and I try to check in some items, the first transaction fails, stating that the session was invalid. That's fine with me. BUT: VS.NET still thinks that the file has been checked in and will therefore not let me check ...
