Re: NArrange on check-in

Just as a follow up I did find a work around. In Visual Studio you can write macros that automatically fire when IDE events happen. To create a macro to automatically NArrange everytime a file is saved. 1) Go to 'Tools' -> 'Macros' -> 'Macros IDE ...' 2) From the macro IDE editor Select 'MyMacros' a...

Re: NArrange on check-in

I would like to add we also would be very interested in having this functionality. I would find it especially helpful because NArrange would maintain a controlled order of the code, which allows a better blame history of what actually changed, was added and removed, as opposed to just moving functio...

Re: Fortress crashes with VB6 IDE

I got it working, thanks Beth you got me on the right track looking into the .NET Framework I believe. I checked my Add/Remove programs and I noticed I did not manually install any of the .NET framework packages. Our WSUS server pushed the .NET service pack updates to the machine. (We have had previ...

Re: Fortress crashes with VB6 IDE

Tried above comments still no detailed error log. I did install as my user which is an active directory account, also member of Domain_Admin group, and tried adding user account to local administrator group, still no luck. Checked permissions on SourceGear folder under Program Files and it lists loc...

Re: Fortress crashes with VB6 IDE

I followed the instructions to enable detailed logging for VB6, but I'm not getting a log file created. Checked both my temp directory @ C:\Documents and Settings\Jason.Seidell\Local Settings\Temp and C:\Windows\Temp. Also tried a reboot after creating the vb6.exe.config file. Still getting the same...

Re: Fortress crashes with VB6 IDE

Yes it it is logging errors to the Event Viewer -> Application log. I will start the detailed logging and post that shortly here is one of the event viewer exceptions. Re: Fortress crashes with VB6 IDE

The error seems to have something to do with the VaultIDE.dll, the Microsoft Error report contains a list of all the loaded modules and a stack dump. It also created a file named C:\Documents and Settings\Jason.Seidell\Local Settings\Temp\6a3e_appcompat.txt. Can I post that file as an attachment or ...

Fortress crashes with VB6 IDE

I am currently in the process of updating my machine. So what I have done thus far is install a new OS on my machine (Windows 7) for my .NET development. I then created a virtual machine (Windows XP SP3) using Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 for my legacy VB6 development. I have installed VB6 and Fortress...

Re: CCNet and Fortress state files

Yes I would like that, since we have so many projects it makes the CI server alot cleaner to have all the artifacts, source code, state files, etc. under a single directory for each project.

Thanks!!!

Re: Enhanced client using old Fortress server

I did an Add/Programs modify and repair option, neither of which seemed to fix the problem. I had changed all my saved sessions through the client, which did not affect this behaviour either. As I searched I noticed my .vbproj and some of my .sln files had sccAuxPath entries that were pointing to th...

Enhanced client using old Fortress server

When we initially setup Fortress as a testing server we used port 81, http://fortress:81. Once we purchased we changed the port to a normal port 80, however the Visual Studio Enhanced Client still wants to use fortress:81 and I don't know how/where to change that.

Thanks,
Jason

Fortress buttons get locked out

I've noticed when I get this error all the Fortress buttons become grayed out, and disconnecting reconnecting will not give me access. The whole IDE has to be shutdown and restarted. Which is kinda of annoying. This error will appear if you move any of the source code on your machine to a different ...

Automatic login w/ Active Directory

I am currently testing out Fortress. I love what I see so far, a few quirks but maybe becase I'm still learning or don't know how to properly perform a few tasks. However I would be very happy if Fortress would automatically login with my Domain credentials. I have the setup using my domain username...
