Re: A few more ideas

Maybe I'm missing something, but the Options dialog does not allow for separate colours for left-only, right-only and changed lines. This is what I was requesting. It provides a few colours for 3-way merge, but for 2-file diff it currently appears to only have one colour setting, shared by all chang...

A few more ideas

A few more ideas: - Show the file modification date beside the file name at the top of each file. Often when diffing I have to return to Explorer to see just how old the files are. - I suggest some nicer colours. All diffs are shown with red text on a red background. Instead, do what most other GUI ...

Re: Via explorer: put oldest file on the left.

I don't mind digging in the registry, so yes please post it. Most of the time I don't care which way around the files are since I can tell which one's which. If you did the ordering based on mod-time, and had the swap button in the interface, I don't think you would even need that initial dialog ava...

Via explorer: put oldest file on the left.

Hi, When selecting two files in Explorer and doing a diff, the files (I think) are put in random order. Firstly, rather than showing a dialog box at start up where the order can be changed, I'd rather the files just appear in random order with a button to swap if I wish, but no extra dialog box firs...

Re: When file already exists in Explorer

Thanks, but yes I realise I can do it that way. Would just be so much more convenient if it was right there in the replace-file dialog box. Could be that I'm not expecting to hit a file of the same name when I move/copy the file, or could be that I know it's there and want to check the diffs before ...

When file already exists in Explorer

Here's something I've wanted for years. More options when trying to copy/move a file from one folder to another where a file already exists of the same name in Explorer. Rather than just yes/no to replace the existing file, I'd like to see these choices: replace, diff, merge, cancel. If choosing mer...

Thanks. Also, forgot to mention that I would almost always use this program just to see diffs rather than merging, and usually don't care which way around the files are, so I'd rather skip the initial dialog where files are chosen when starting the program from explorer. When selecting two files in ...

Requests: 3-way folder diff & 3-way shell extension

Hi, Great program! I've been looking for a good free diff program that could handle folder diffs for a while. Two things I'd like to see: - 3-way folder diff/merge. Found a need for this today. I'd like to specify 3 folders full of C++ code, 2 of which are derived from the third. - I also noticed th...
