Versioning a remote database

Is it fairly easy to setup Vault to version and control access to a remote SQL Server 2008 DB? Our small team is now doing some web development and I really don't feel comfortable with how fragile the DB update process is. I probably need to do lots of research, but I'm hoping for a quick overview o...

Re: Hide Unimportant Differences bug?

Toggling "Classify Differences as Important (Always HIghlight)" does not change anything. Build 18729, if it matters.

Re: Hide Unimportant Differences bug?

[a] That was what I expected, too. The line has no background shading. Looking closely, the added "=" characters are actually highlighted, but with the Unimportant color. There is no indicator in the margin that this line changed, and there is no option to jump to this different line. That...

Re: Hide Unimportant Differences bug?

Each >= is not seen as a difference. Maybe the double // comment is causing this?

Source, not inside a comment. C#. I'll try your suggestion.

Hide Unimportant Differences bug?

In one of my files, a change from '>' to '>=' was considered an unimportant difference. Is this expected behavior?

This still happens in Vault Client 5.0.1.

V5:Unwanted Get Latest overwrite prompt on checked out files

I don't remember Vault 4 prompting me to overwrite checked out files when I performed a Get Latest on a folder. I do want it to prompt me for files that are renegade, however. Is this possible?

This is also now happening in without any hibernation/sleep. It's usually preceded by a Namespace Conflict or other out-of-the-ordinary state that has to be resolved.

Re: Mutex timeout of 30000 ms / null object reference error.

Working offline is not an option, because most of the time I'm presented with a modal dialog box. Dismissing the box only makes it pop back up immediately. I have to terminate the devenv.exe process. All Vault-related connections must be closed before I can successfully use Visual Studio. This means...

Are there any plans to add the checkout prompt to the enhanced client at this time?

Re: Mutex timeout of 30000 ms / null object reference error.

I'll try to see what happens if I don't switch networks.

Why can't there be an option to re-establish the connection? I frequently put my laptop to sleep at home, drive to work, then bring it out of sleep at my desk. Surely many people do this?

Mutex timeout of 30000 ms / null object reference error.

I've seen these two errors mentioned in the forum, but I haven't found any resolution. Repro steps: Log in with both a VS2008 instance and a standalone client. Put computer to sleep. Resume from sleep on a different WiFi network. The only way to fix things is to close all Vault connections (VS and s...
