Re: Issue with the "other users may have trouble" error

Still having the same issue. The first thing I did was make an entirely new project since I had copied the previous one from a working version. I created a new project, added files and setup like the old project just with new names. Still couldn't add to Vault without the notification. Cleaned solut...

Issue with the "other users may have trouble" error

Vault Standard: 9.1.0. So I've read the FAQ https://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=9672#p39467 about the problem that causes the "other users may have trouble opening this solution" message. However my folder structure doesn't appear like shown in the FAQ. It's basically a...

Re: All Checked in Files need merge, then go renegade after try

Hi, I'm the other developer in this sinario and I wanted to explain a little further how we have it set up. I don't believe we are sharing working folders. I have my Vault Client on my workstation and have my working folder set to c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\recreationapplication so the working folder is on ...

Re: Changing Vault Server Name

I tried deleting the row in the tblplugins table, then I opened up the Web Admin and tried clicking on the shadow folder link for the repository, but I get the same error. System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. ---> System.Exception: Unable to connect to h...

Re: Changing Vault Server Name

We do use Shadow Folders, that is actually the only portion that isn't working. The database is kept on a different server. I hate to uninstall and reinstall, last time it took me an entire day to get it back working. I thought there might just be a configuration piece I could change to the new serv...

Changing Vault Server Name

We recently moved our Vault Server to a new machine. Everything went well and everything was working on our new server (goldserver). Then our sysadmin went in and changed the machine's name and IP to spiritserver. I thought everything was working until I noticed changes weren't being made. When I lo...

Re: Problems with bin folder and .dll files

Ian,
Thank you so much for this information. I really just wanted to make sure Vault was installed correctly and that the problem did indeed lie with .NET.

Thanks again.

Re: Problems with bin folder and .dll files

Initially we didn't have the bin folder included, but when we would make changes to our .cs files and check them in, the changes wouldn't show up on the live server. We figured out that we had to include the bin file in order for the server to recognize that a change had been made. If there is anoth...

Problems with bin folder and .dll files

We have Vault sort of working, but we have to jump through a bunch of steps to get our server to see changes to our files. Here is the process we have to go through using Visual Studio 2005 sp1. We check out files on our local machines, make changes, build them and test them locally. If everything w...
