Hi, I am having the same issue. Quite annoying. The connection to the server is lost almost immediately. When I then double click on a file in the pending checkins window to see the differences, I get an error message that says the source control provider crashed and will be disabled. VS then hangs....

OK - I have reinstalled SOS server, reinstalled VS 6.0D, rebooted the server multiple times, and still the same situations. Is there paid support. This has gone one way too long.

We are not able to do multiple checkouts with the GUI client or the IDE. However, I am able to do it using the Source Safe application.

Please let me know if you need more information.
