Re: Unable to Browse Fortress Items
Hi again, apologies it's been so long since I responded:( Now working from home and not on cllient site. Curiously I can browse fortress items from the standalone client and create new items no problem. If I try to browse fortress items from within VS 2008 I just get a Fortress icon in the Fortress ...

Re: Unable to Browse Fortress Items
Hi Beth,
I can't see fortress.log anywhere on disk, do I need to turn logging on or something, if so, how do I do that?
Thx

Re: Unable to Browse Fortress Items
Hi Beth, As per my second post I have looked at http://myserver/Fortress/VaultService.asmx and all is OK. As for the web.config, the section you mention looks like this: - <appSettings> <add key="ConfigPath" value="C:\inetpub\wwwroot\VaultService\Vault.config" /> <add key="B...

Re: Unable to Browse Fortress Items
I can see now that VaultService.asmx and DragnetWebService are in seperate folders so that makes sense. What I don't get is how I configure the Fortress functionality to look at the Fortress/DragnetWebService.asmx as opposed to VaultService/DragnetWebService.asmx which it appears to be looking for a...

Re: Visual Studio 2008 Client : Item been added with same key...
The solution itself was under VAULT source control IIRC.
The projects may well have been, have been doing a lot of refactoring and splitting stuff out to seperate projects (namespaces) so not 100% sure.
Saying that, the entier original code base was source controlled under Vault.
Thx

Re: Visual Studio 2008 Client : Item been added with same key...
Hi Linda, I'm causing some confusion I think! I'm working on client site and already hadaccess to a Vault server. Used that for a while, then got a Fortress trial for my client. After I'd installed the latest Fortress client I uninstalled the Vault client. Vault client and Fortress client are pointi...

Re: Visual Studio 2008 Client : Item been added with same key...
The other thing that is a little odd is that when I go into the Windows Client and opt for a check in there are a number of files that broke the size limit and failed. The interesting thing is that several of these items for check in relate to the same file and one of them doesn't have any info in t...

Re: Visual Studio 2008 Client : Item been added with same key...
Hi Linda, Fotresss client version is 4.0.1 (18729). It would have been either a Winforms of Class Library project. No business intelligence projects in the solution. FYI there was a Vault Client (v5 I believe) on this machine which I was using to connect to a Vault server on another remote server. T...

Visual Studio 2008 Client : Item been added with same key...
...or a very similar message, got this after renaming a project and it's namespace and fixing the appropriate references.
Checked in via Windows Client as opposed to the VS client and did not get the same message:(
Could someone explain why I'm getting this behaviour?
Thx

Re: Stuck on "Beginning Transaction" when checking in....
Always in too much of a hurry to wait more than a few minutes but if it happens tomorrow I'll be more patient and record any messages:)
If I check one file in at a time it works every time.
I will enable logging and report back in the morning.
Thx for your response!
