That was it. We both had "Use the default proxy" selected but his said Disconnected and mine says None specified. When I changed his to Do no use a proxy, it worked.
Thanks Beth

No server was found
I have a user who used to be able to connect to our vault server but now cannot using the windows client. We are on 7.1.0. He can bring up the vault service in a browser (http://ntsourcegear/VaultService/VaultService.asmx). I can connect without any problem. He is running the same version of the cli...

Re: Fortress 1.0.5 to Vault Standard
Thanks Linda. That got it done. It wasn't all roses. Had some trouble with the installs and had to uninstall and re-install a few times. Cleaning out Fortress seemed to be the problem. Now all I need to do is get my status squared around. I have a project that was not checked in before I did this.

Fortress 1.0.5 to Vault Standard
How can I move from my current Fortress 1.0.5 installation to Vault Standard? I tried installing Vault Standard Server 1.0.6. I uninstalled Fortress first. During installation I got the message "Can't install Vault if a Vault Professional database exists."
Thanks
Tom
Thanks

Re: Multiple Email Notifications
I was hoping not to have to install another client and use another license just to get email notifications. Is that possible?

Multiple Email Notifications
We're on Vault 4.1.1. Is there a way for more than one person to receive an email about changes to the repository? Comma separating two addresses does not appear to work.

Re: Failed to load Msxml2.dll
We've got it fixed. The first link you posted referred to this MS article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918767 It was instrumental in helping us figure out what happened. A couple of weeks ago an instance of SQL Server was removed from the box where the Vault database is hosted. The machine didn'...

Re: Failed to load Msxml2.dll
I looked at the post. It was related but not exactly the same. Our SQL Server is not finding msxml2.dll. That post was not finding msxmlsql.dll. I'd like to be able to simulate the error via SQL Server Management Studio. That way I can duplicate the error on a test server, fix it there and then migr...

Failed to load Msxml2.dll
Our tech support staff recently installed a number of MS security patches on our SQL Server machine and now we are getting this error from SQL Server. I realize this is not a Vault problem. Could you give me a SQL Server command I could execute from SQL Server Management Studio that would simulate w...

Error! File data contains NUL character
We have some source from our mainframe that contains a short string of null values. This comes from the mainframe application development software and is on half of the files. Most of the file is plain text. When we put this source away in Vault we don't think to remove the nulls. Often they are not...

Nevermind. It's my fault. I've been working on a project for months. Several days ago I moved the working folder to a new location then did a Get Latest Version. I wanted to see if the project would still open properly. Sometimes we miss files and don't get them put in Vault. Then yesterday I went l...
