"The username or password supplied is invalid" is the message I see in the dialogbox from VS.Net.

Tonya, I had the problem happen this morning. Here's what I did. I used VS.Net to lok at some source code. I checked out the file but because I didn't make any changes I performed an Undo checkout to put the file back into vault. I then exited out of VS.Net. Next I loaded vault client, which automat...

Re: Returning Item ID after using AddItemExternal on Web Ser

We have succesfully run tests to elevate our user requests from our own user-tracking system to Dragnet using AddItemExternal in the web service. However, is there a way to return the new item ID once the item has been accepted? Am I missing something blindingly obvious (very likely)? Nope. Dragnet...

Is the problem connecting with the Vault Client intermittent or does it forget your profile every time? If the problem is intermittent, does this happen after you have had the project open using VS.Net? It is intermittent and there's a very good chance that it happens after I have opened a project ...

Dan,

Thanks for the reply. Manually editing the .scc file works for the IDE. Do you guys have any sort of work around for the client forgetting to automatically connect using a specific profile?

Vault Annoyances

Greetings, I'm using 3.1 for client, server and admin tool. The problem is that the vault client seems to forget that I want to automatically log in using the profile I've created. The most annoying aspect of it is that it doesn't happen every single time. I use the vault client and have vault integ...

To get items out of your unresolved list, either mark 'em verified, or reassign them to somebody in your QA department. Hmm, no wonder I couldn't figure out the resolver stuff. To me verified means that the bug was varified as being found not that QA has verified that the fix was made properly. Per...

Purpose of Resolver Field

Hi, I have read the one line description of the resolver field in the release notes (It seems to be missing from the help file, BTW), but I don't really understand how it works. For example: If we set resolver to (none) and set the status as completed why would it show up as an unresolved item on th...

Feature Request - Outdated Files

In Visual Studio when an item is checked out the circle with slash symbol is displayed next to that file. Is there anyway that Vault could display some sort of icon next to a file when the version in the working folder is older than the file in the repository? Some sort of small icon of an old man o...

OK, but this needs some clarification. In what way would this be easier than the user just going into their email preferences and unsubscribing to emails? This would be a global setting. It would not require the user to go into the preferences for each individual project and turn off email notifica...

Re: Changing Repository from within Visual Studio 2003

Is there any way to change the repository your project is working with from within Visual Studio 2003? Occasionally, when my Vault session dies, I end up picking the wrong repository when reconnecting to the server; it seems like my only option to fix this is to wait for the session to time out aga...

A Few Feature Requests

I'm not sure if these have been asked for yet or not but here's a few things that I'd like to see in Dragnet: 1 - The ability to delete attachments. Sometimes the documentation we attach to an item is updated and it would be nice to be able to delete the existing attachment or to overwrite it if an ...

Well I'll be. I takes a little digging to find it but you are right it is there. For those of you that haven't found it yet and you're using the 3.1 beta follow these steps 1 - Click Pending Checkins 2 - Select the Advanced option 3 - Browse on the Update bugs dialog NOTE: I've found a bug that I'll...
