Re: Non Admins Unable to Add Projects
Interesting. I never really understood how the categories were supposed to be used. The fact that you can assign a Developer and/or Resolver is what I think was confusing me. As to what our structure looks like, we currently have 1 repository with 6 main directories containing around 70 projects to ...

Re: Non Admins Unable to Add Projects
Thanks Beth. Yes, projects for item tracking was what I was referring to. Perhaps we are not using this feature the way it was intended to be used. We are currently using them in conjunction with our repository projects in a sort of 1-to-1 relationship, if that makes sense. So if a user adds a proje...

Non Admins Unable to Add Projects
Are only users in the Admin Group allowed to Add Projects? I ask because I think users should be able to add Projects without having to get an admin to create one for them. Is there a reason why it was implemented this way? Because I think it makes sense that a company might want to give certain use...

Re: Access to the path 'Vault_WF_48290267' is denied.
Using MakeMeAdmin instead of the "Run As" command fixed the problem. You can download it here: http://blogs.msdn.com/aaron_margosis/ar ... 93721.aspx

Re: Access to the path 'Vault_WF_48290267' is denied.
The issue still exists. Let me clarify that I am not logging into windows as a different user, I am simply running VS 2003 as a different user using the "run as" feature. The reason I am doing this is because of a known issue with debugging ASP.NET projects in VS2003 if you are not a membe...

Access to the path 'Vault_WF_48290267' is denied.
I'm getting this error right after I start up the Fortress Client and select which repository to open. It appears to be specific to the requested repository because the error doesn't come up if I select any of the other ones. Clicking "OK" does nothing (just brings the dialog back up). Thi...

- UPDATE - I was able to narrow down the problem by dividing the exporting folder into sub folders and exporting each individually. I then recreating the folder structure when I imported it. There was one folder that I was unable to import (same error outlined above). I think it had to do with a par...

Unable to Import folder into different repository
I am trying to move a folder from one repository to another so to do so I am using the Fortress Folder Export/Import utility. I am able to export the folder without any errors but when I try to import the file to the new repository I am given the following error: http://hutch619.googlepages.com/Impo...

Can you upgrade a Web User account to a full account?
Were looking at adding a few more accounts to our current license structure. Currently, these accounts only need to be able to log/view bugs so we'd probably be picking up Web-Only licenses for them. My question is can we upgrade these to Full-Licenses if we end up finding it benefitial? And if so, ...

Due to my security concerns about storing passwords in clear text (in the web.config file) I took a slightly different approach than what Beth outlined above. If you are running IIS 6.0 or higher than you can use specify an identity in your Vault App pool to use instead of storing the credentials in...
