BUG internal version 4.1.2.242
Hi,
Following components appear to have incorrect internal version numbers..
ServerMngr.EXE [4.1.2.242]
SosServer.EXE [4.1.2.242]
If they come from the [SosServerProfessional_4_2.msi] installer they should both read [4.2.x.xxx]
I will attach a .PNG image so you can see what I mean.
Thanks

Although I have rebooted my computer since and log is now flush, I assure you the few lines before were all normal and the few lines after were same error in similar format and eventually was making good connections after that. I have downgraded from Vista to XP...

SOS = 4.1.2.242
NET = 2.0, you should know NET 3.0 is NET 2.0 with crap bolted on. So it doesn't make a difference
VSS = 2005+SP1 on XP

Exception during Login: Exception from HRESULT: 0x8004D117
Hi, After this occurs SOS Server returns stale and currupt copies of my files is SS. I can fix this by performing a full reconnect on SOS Explorer on the remote machine. Could still be a Microsoft issue, but I would like to get bit closer to the cause of this error, as I believe an array of issues s...

Bug
Hi Beth, Sorry for late responses all the time but either your notification service is down or my ISP is blocking forum posting notifications. About the crash: 1. As you can see, it is only a program error - has no bearing on windows 'hanging'. 2. Yes, I am manualling stopping service using services...

I never said anything about clients being connecte. I never said anything about service running on clients.
This is a service error and the service is running on XP server.

OK, I know what is going on, but it makes no sense to me. [SERVER] -Vista -VSS SP1/SP1 Beta for Vista -SOS Server. [CLIENT] -XP Problem specifically lies with Vista getting new stuff from VSS. This maybe from SOS Explorer or SOS VS Plugin or VSS Explorer or VSS Plugin for VS. Basically it takes it u...
