Re: Compress attachments?

Maybe the SQL server compresses the data and thus the attachments? If that's not the case, then yes, please create a feature request for this. Maybe this should depend on an option which the user could check when addint attachments. Or it could depend on the file extension for example. Textual logfi...

Modified date sometimes incorrect.

Hi, We use the option "Set file time: modification" in the Fortress Client. This sets the date and time of files retrieved from Fortress to the date and time from when the file was last modified. But it seems this is not working correct all the times. We are using version 1.1.1. When a fil...

Compress attachments?

Hi, I was wondering if Fortress compresses item attachments? I guess it does, but wanted to know for sure. Our attachments are mostly textual logfiles and can get very large. If Fortress does not compress them, it would be very benificial if our users would compress them first before adding them to ...

Re: Mandatory fields

I was wondering if you were planning to fix this in the next release of Fortress? I certainly hope so.

Re: No checkin comment for 'Add this File'

I have the "Show non-version-controlled files ghosted in file list" option checked. The option 'Add this File' will then appear in the Fortress GUI client when selecting a ghosted file in the file list pane. The option 'Add Files/Folder...' is available when right-clicking a folder in the ...

No checkin comment for 'Add this File'

Fortress does not ask for checkin comments when adding files to our repository using the option 'Add this File', although checkin comments are required for this repository. For Word documents etc. we require that the user adds the document version as the checkin comment. This can now easily be forgo...

Re: Option to show open and pending items under the same tab

Ok. Fortress 2.0.2 has a tab for completed items. That's right. Fortress version 1 has this tab also. But what I meant, is to have a tab for closed items, like it was mentioned here: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=5598 It should already be logged. Does version 2 support listing items...

Re: Option to show open and pending items under the same tab

Sorry if I was unclear. I did not add new text to the existing topic viewtopic.php?f=30&t=10763. I was just referring to it. The bottom line is that I like an option for adding a tab for closed items. Another enhancement (as described in the topic mentioned) could be to add the closed items also...

Get without setting a working folder

Sometimes we need to send our source files or documents to another company. To do this, we use Fortess to pull out the latest version of these documents. But, Fortress each time assigns a working folder when it was not set before. But since this was only intended as a temporary get, we need to remov...

Option to show open and pending items under the same tab

Since we are only a small development team, we hardly assign separate developers and testers to each item. In fact, we do not have an official QA team to test things. We only assign items to people when they are scheduled to implement or fix them and testing is mostly done by the developer. Other it...

Re: Error with show diff. after renaming project folder.

Thank you Linda for your quick response, as always here at SourceGear :D

I do not want to rename those projects to their original name, so I would be very glad if this could be fixed in a next release.

Error with show diff. after renaming project folder.

We have changed the names of several software projects in our repository for better readability. However, if we try to show the differences between an earlier applied project label (before the project folder was renamed) and the current version in the repository, we get the following error: "Ob...
