Re: Feature request: Ignore unimportant *part* lines
Thanks. And glad that you were able to get that to work for you. WRT folder windows, the best I can do is "equivalence" mode. In each Ruleset there is a page that lets you declare that changes in whitespace, case, and line endings are to be treated as "equivalent". (I'm avoiding ...

Re: REQUEST - Diffing to a File from the UI
There are a couple of options depending on what you ultimately want to do. [*] We have a stand-alone release of DiffMerge 4.2 that contains this feature. There are menu commands to export the diffs in a variety of formats (both text files and a new html diff in unified, traditional, and side-by-side...

Re: Applying only parts
Try doing a Ctrl+Click on the change.
When the control key is down, we treat
the changed region line-by-line.

Re: Feature request: Ignore unimportant *part* lines
Sorry, but we don't currently support that. Omitting content within a line (or within a fixed range of columns) has been requested a couple of times. If you have a specific pattern like that, you might be able to mark the "=ENU=" and "=ENG=" as UNIMPORTANT COMMENTS that can then ...

Re: new Mac OS
Sorry about that. That error comes from Gatekeeper. It is complaining because we didn't digitally sign it. This hasn't been a big deal in the past because we aren't in the App Store, but looks like it is becoming one. I logged a request to fix this last week after a similar report came in. I'll add ...

Re: Issue with new 'Find' function
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah there's a few rough spots there. I'll log this for the next release. Yeah, we should have ESC close the find window. And I think the problem with the Alt+Up/Down not working and an ENTER in the find window is that focus is still up there rather than in one of the file p...

Re: Keyboard shortcut stops working in Mac OS
Hadn't noticed that before. Looks like a focus is not getting
set on the text window when the application is activated.
I'll log this. Thanks.
And yeah those should be on the menu. I'll log this too.
thanks.

DiffMerge 4.2.0 is Now Available
SourceGear DiffMerge 4.2.0 is Now Available. New in this release is the ability to export file and folder differences to an HTML file. A new Export Menu has been added to let you export file differences in unified, traditional, and side-by-side formats with intra-line highlighting. Folder difference...

Re: Diffmerge Packages For Other Linux Distros?
I don't have a SUSE system currently. And it's been a while since I've had one so I'm not up on the various revision levels of things like libc and gtk relative to fedora. As for other formats, we do offer a .deb for Ubuntu/Mint. But I'm not sure if that would be of any use. So, you might try to unp...

Re: Request: more conflict resoluition options
You can right-click on a change/conflict and prepend/append each side.
Takes 2 steps, but doable.
Yeah, it would be nice to have a single click to apply both sides
in either order.
I'll log this.
thanks

Re: Request: keyboard accelerators
Which platform are you on? On Windows and Linux, I have bindings for F7 / Shift F7 for next/prev change and F8 / Shift F8 for next/prev conflicts. I also have a second set of bindings for next/prev change: Alt+Down / Alt+Up on Windows and Command+Option+Down / Command+Option+Up on Mac. I'll log a ta...

Re: Select Files to Compare dialog with network files
The hang problem is being caused by the "auto-completion" feature enabled on the text fields. This causes the familiar list of choices to appear below the text field as you type. This feature is provided by the OS. It looks like when you are editing in the network server portion of the pat...

Re: DiffMerge hangs when closing
i found the problem and have pushed up a fix. This will be in the 4.2 release. Just to be sure that the problem that I observed is the same as what you are seeing. When you see the problem is your network connection disabled, very slow, or is there a DNS problem? What I observed was that a DiffMerge...
