If it's small, it can be sent to beth at sourcegear.com. Otherwise, it can be ftp'd to ftp.sourcegear.com. Send me an email with the file name when ...

It looks like the connection to SQL Server could be timing out. Try increasing the SQL timeout value in the Vault.config file:
<SqlCommandTimeout>360</SqlCommandTimeout>

The other possibility is if there are large check-outs. Are your users checking out entire folders?

Also, what version of Vault are you using? Are you performing all transactions just from within Vault...

Have you tried deleting the client side cache and then attempting the operation again? It sounds like the files may be out of sync.

I took this issue to one of our developers. As it turns out, you were right on the first time. We will log a bug to be fixed in a future release. In the meantime, setting your temp folder to a path that has no spaces would be the work-around.

Can you send me your Vault Server Log and your web.config file? There could potentially be some issue with using the Machine Process Model with your set-up. That is usually used when ASP.NET is configured to run under the local system account and IIS5. We might be able to tell more from the logs.

When I show history on a file from within VS2005, and then select to view a file, I'm prompted for the editor/viewer application. When I click OK, my editor tells me it can't find the file I don't observe this behavior in the Vault GUI client - the file comes up in the editor just fine. I was under...

Well, I've tried it with Vim 6.3 and Vim 7.0. I am coming up with the same results. It appears to me to be a limitation of VS2005 or Vim.

I'm assuming then you went through the recommended changes, or were you trying to just make a feature request for something different to be done about it? For further troubleshooting, would you mind sending me your SOS log.txt file that's located on the SOS Server machine? You can e-mail it to me at...
