Vault Eclipse(oxygen) question. Directory of repository
Hi, I'm going to work around this temporarily with a crude solution, but likely you'll be able to state the clever solution. We're testing out Vault 10 Standard, and I'm using Eclipse (oxygen) with the correct Eclipse-Vault interface. In my file system (in Windows 10), I copied my directory of php f...

Re: Issue with Eclipse Interface to Vault (neon)
It looks like the Null Pointer Exceptions are pretty common with Eclipse, and there are variety of possible solutions. I have several more things to try (and some that look dangerous) at: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/43725657/eclipse-nullpointerexception-on-file-open and: https://stackoverflo...

Re: Issue with Eclipse Interface to Vault (neon)
Well, it's happening again, so I can provide a bit more data. Because of '1', this is not high priority. Would be nice to solve though. 1) I can analyze and perform version control from the Vault side. So I can work around the issue (Eclipse 'Pending Change Set' error.) 2) The error is similar to th...

Re: Issue with Eclipse Interface to Vault (neon)
Hi, I've made no changes, and it's working at least temporarily. Next time this happens I'll show images. I just found the 'upload attachment' option in this support page. If it happens again, I'll investigate if I can see all changes from the Vault side of the interface. If I can see all changes th...

Re: Issue with Eclipse Interface to Vault (neon)
Hi. Looks like that solution is for Vault 4.1.4 (https://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=11629), and I'm currently on Vault Standard 9.1.0. That key-value pair is no longer stored in that location, and it's looks like that key-value pair no longer exists. (Will re-try search in multip...

Re: Issue with Eclipse Interface to Vault (neon)
This morning we did have some updates to Office 365, and Outlook, and it seems like the computer now needs a LYNC connetion (which is set up automatically). It seemed to be fine until this afternoon, but some of the changes (like the LYNC) only seemed to happen this afternoon. We were under some phi...

Issue with Eclipse Interface to Vault (neon)
The Vault-Eclipse interface has been working well for several days. (Successfully installed earlier this week.) However, this afternoon the refresh command is gone from my Vault interface inside Eclipse. When re-starting Eclispe I get the following error in a message box. Title of error box: Error r...

Re: Issue Setting up Eclipse IDE for Vault 9.1.0 Standard
Thank you. Worked fine with your help. I'm in. I kind of figured that the brackets were placeholders, but the error messages (Java, not-Java) were not elucidating. In retrospect, I should have guessed that keytool.exe was not being found. But, I couldn't figure out why 'java -version' worked, but th...

Re: Issue Setting up Eclipse IDE for Vault 9.1.0 Standard
Getting some errors on step 3 of http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=10526 I think the syntax of the 'keytool' is varying with java version, and maker (which seems logical). Currently using Oracle Java (which you, jclausius, also tried, so I'm not sure where my error lies). java version &q...

Re: Issue Setting up Eclipse IDE for Vault 9.1.0 Standard
Got the certificate with your updated instructions. Thank you! I think I was close. In that process, Chrome updated from 60 to 61, and this time 'View Certificate' worked and 'Copy to File' was now clickable. (In my previous attempts, it seemed like 'Copy to File' was always grey and un-clickable.) ...

Re: Issue Setting up Eclipse IDE for Vault 9.1.0 Standard
Made an attempt today. Having trouble completing step1 of http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=10526. When that was written back in 2008, there were plenty of ways to easily do step 1. However, now the certificates are not so easily downloaded directly from the browser. Mostly that is now p...

Issue Setting up Eclipse IDE for Vault 9.1.0 Standard
Combining items from two threads per request of jclausius. Apologies that my initial submissions were not on a new thread. I was trying to post on similar topic(s) (and not create a new thread unduly). I have several things to try based on the current feedback: 1) SSL for https (we are doing https, ...

Re: Eclipse Plugin Installation
I wish that were the case. That is not the case though. The error message is below. In the error log I now see some things worth investigating (that I did not see on Friday). Apparently there are some eclipse setup variables that could easily be affecting version control. The server and client are d...

Re: Eclipse Plugin Installation
We are attempting to connect Eclipse to Vault for the first time in our organization. In the checks that were done (re: Vault 10 has been tested with Eclipse Neon and Oxygen.), what operating system and java and bit version (32/64) were used for the 'client'? Here’s our specs and error message from ...
