Re: 1207 : FailObjAlreadyExists

So the handoff can't overwrite something that's already there? All we want to do is update our Fortress repository with our current VSS repository. There have been many changes to many files in VSS since we set up our initial Fortress repository a couple of weeks ago. We're now ready to stop using V...

Re: 1207 : FailObjAlreadyExists

It's happening again on the new repository. It looks like it will let us do an initial handoff the first time we run it, but if we every come back and try to do another handoff on a repository, we get the 1207 : FailObjAlreadyExists error. I don't know if this is any help or not, but here is the ent...

Re: Can't create Shadow Folders

Thanks Beth!

It still initially tries to connect to the "localhost" site as shown in the first screen shot, but after I change the url everything works great.

Can't create Shadow Folders

I'm having a problem trying to to create Shadow Folders, I can't get the service to pull up in the Fortress web admin. Every time I try, I get the error shown in the first screen shot below. I noticed that the url is using "localhost", so just for testing I changed it to the full domain (a...

Re: Multiple Repositories in Eclipse

Thanks Jeremy. Do you mind if I ask why multiple repositories are not supported? I'm just curious as it just seems like such an unusual limitation for a source control system. I could actually see this as being a major hindrance in Vault becoming a viable option for larger development teams. I guess...

Multiple Repositories in Eclipse

Is there really no way to connect to more than one repository in Eclipse? I've been searching the forums and reviewing posts hoping to find where this was finally added to Vault, but so far all I've seen is "No". If that's true, I have to say that I am baffled at the fact that this is not ...

Re: Switching between branches in Eclipse

Also, if there's any way for the directories in a project to have some type of icon or indicator that indicates something in that directory has been modified, that would be a TREMENDOUS help. (i.e., SubClipse has a little black icon, VSS plugin shows the number of files checked out in parentheses, e...

Re: 1207 : FailObjAlreadyExists

The files were definitely there. I wound up just deleting that repository and creating a new one and the handoff worked then.

Re: Switching between branches in Eclipse

Thank, Beth! I really appreciate you asking. It's nice when a software company really takes note of their customer's suggestions! :D Here are the top 5 features we would really like to see integrated into the Eclipse plugin: The ability to change between branches without having to use the Fortess GU...

1207 : FailObjAlreadyExists

I'm getting this error whenever I try to do a handoff from our VSS repository to Fortress. This is the only information that pops up on the screen: Handoff Summary The following errors were encountered during the handoff: 1207 : FailObjAlreadyExists We're using Fortress Version 2.0.3.18802 Any sugge...

Re: Switching between branches in Eclipse

Thanks Jeremy! After doing that and coming back in to Eclipse and refreshing my project that seemed to get it. I must say that so far I'm really disappointed in the lack of features Vault has in Eclipse. For years I've been able to just right click on a project and have access to things like "s...

Switching between branches in Eclipse

I'm trying to figure out how to easily switch between branches in Vault. I'm using Eclipse, and I have my project already created and imported from Branch A. I want to switch my project over to Branch B (same repository as Branch A) and have all of the files stored in the same location on my pc (ove...

Re: Removing unused Handoff Sources

Add my vote, too! I added some handoff sources just "playing around" and testing things out on our new Fortress setup and couldn't believe there was no way to remove them!
