By default, the Vault Server log file is located in %WINDIR%\Temp\sgvault\sgvault.log Older log files will be named with the convention YYMMDDsgvault.log You can send these to support@sourcegear.com. The admin tool is useful for configuring the Vault server. I usually recommend installing all compon...

What version of the VSS automation component are you running? Can you go ahead and send me your import log and the server log file? Have you gone through the KB article we have on importing? This may help: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=7. Also, do you use IDE integration in VSS? Here...

You are saying you have two servers that are exactly alike with the exact same software installed? Is the same projects being worked with on both, or do they deal with separate projects? Could you send me your Vault server log? I think also that you will find Vault much easier to configure with the ...

Are you running other projects besides the one you can't open? If so, are those working fine? Have you tried opening the project from another machine? One thing you could try doing is delete the cache files after an uninstall to ensure there is nothing left over that could be affecting the reinstall.

They both have shadow folders setup. The directory structure on both servers is exactly the same, so the shadow configurations are identical. You say you will work on one server for a while and then switch to the other server for a while. If you make changes to files on one server, those changes wo...

Are you running any additional security software with your Citrix server such as Sanctuary that would prevent the application from running? Can you run the Vault Admin tool? Have you tried accessing Vault via the command line? If you have a Citrix Presentation Server 4.0 running Windows 2000 Server,...

I think I will need to make a feature request for what you have described. Can you give me more detail on how you see this working?

If you read up in documentation on auto-commit and pending change sets, you should have all the information you need. This is performed in the Pending Change Set tab.

My initial thought is that someone else may have made a modification without your knowledge. That would show up in your history. On your script, you could perform a get before doing anything else and that should help. Are you using Exclusive Locks? In the client, under Tools-Options-Concurrent Devel...

First, does this seem like it would cause any problems? They would both be connecting to the same database, but only one would be on at a time. Can you give a little more detail on the set-up? Is one server only running a shadow folder, or how is that working? Second, is there a way to force a shad...

What version of Visual Studio are you using with this? I believe this behavior is seen with Visual Studio with source control where it always wants to add pdb files for web projects. Visual Studio controls what is added rather than the Source Control package. I'm searching for more information on th...

We are using 3.1.8 server and the client was 3.1.5. Though I can't say if this is or isn't contributing to the issue, it is known that not having the versions of the client and server match can cause issues. Since your server is more recent than your client, you can pull the client from your server...

I would like to have the rename functionality change a bit. It would be nice to have it rename local files on the working folder at the same time as the rename happens in Vault. We have a lot of problems with leftover unrenamed files sitting in the working folder after a rename. I can't think of a ...

Since the "Diff" option is disabled, I have to make a workaround by making a dummy label "current", which I throw away later. I don't think I understand what you mean here. How is the Diff option disabled? As far as the rest that you mentioned, this is a known bug that we are wo...
