Thanks Linda, we will be updating to 6.1 at some point.
Just to be clear, if both VS2005 and VS2012 are installed first, and then a Vault client (either 6.0 or 6.1) is installed, the enhanced client will be enabled for both IDE's?

Enhanced client with VS 2012
We've been using VS 2005 and Vault 6.0 with the enhanced client. We're now transitioning to VS 2012, but will continue to use VS 2005 during the transition, so both will be installed on our workstations. After we installed VS 2012, only the classic client is shown as an option in the VS 2012 IDE. Do...

Re: Invalid object version for some files in repository
Things seem to be working now. Removing the _sgvault cache folder didn't help, but removing the ChacheMember files got things working again. One final question: when installing the 6.0 client software on our developer PCs, is it necessary or advisable to uninstall the old client software first? Than...

Re: Invalid object version for some files in repository
You're right, that wasn't very clear. Yes, the database was in place before 6.0 was installed. Last Friday, you walked a co-worker of mine through the process (after he messed up on the first attempt). I'm wondering if this might be a local caching issue. Would it hurt anything to remove the local c...

Invalid object version for some files in repository
Hello, Background: We're upgrading from Vault 5.0.x to Vault 6.0 and changing to new server box running Win Server 2008 R2. Last week, the Vault 6.0 server software was installed on the new server and a SQL backup from the 5.0.x box was restored to the new server and upgraded to Vault 6.0. Today, I ...

Re: Vault 5.0.x and Visual Studio 2012
OK, thanks for the clarification, Linda. Just wanted to know what options we have (or don't have ).

Re: Vault 5.0.x and Visual Studio 2012
Hi Linda, I understand that you have not yet tested the integration of 5.0.x/5.1.x with VS2012. I guess what I was really trying to find out is: 1) do you plan on testing the integration of these Vault versions with VS2012? and 2) based on the results of that testing, do you intend to support the in...

Vault 5.0.x and Visual Studio 2012
We're still running version 5.0.x of standard Vault, integrated with Visual Studio 2005. We're anticipating moving to Visual Studio 2012 when it is released. Will you be supporting integration of VS2012 with vault 5.0.x or 5.1.x after VS2012 is released? Or will we have to move to the yet to be rele...

Update from 5.0.1
We're currently running Vault Version 5.0.1.18729 (64-bit) and our server needs to be replaced. This presents an opportunity for us to upgrade to a new version. Questions: can we safely upgrade directly to the latest (5.1.2?) version or should we upgrade to an intermediate version first? Are there b...

Including a Comment when adding a label
When I use the Vault LABEL command on the command line, I can optionally include a comment string on the command line. This works as expected. The <vaultlabel> VaulltNantTask is implemented with what looks like the Vault API call ServerOperations.ProcessCommandLabel. However, this API does not look ...

Re: How do I checkout a file to a temp. working folder?
I was hoping I was missing something simple and could avoid having to save, set, and restore the working folder...oh well.
Thanks for your reply.
