Usually when this happens, there is some sort of anti-virus or other such process that's running in the background and interfering with Vault.

Can you please disable all anti-virus, spyware, malware software that's running on the machine please?

I have a few questions please. Is this a problem with any project or a specific one? If you create a brand new project and add it to Vault (from the problem machine), can you successfully open that one? Can the same user successfully open projects from a different machine, with the same Vault login?

Can you try creating a totally new project from scratch and add that to SOS from VFP9?

This will let us see if it's just that project that's causing problems.

Is it possible for you to test connecting with VSS set as the SCC provider?

Open the Vault client. From menu "Tools", choose "Options..."

On the "General" page, select the checkbox that reads "Make Vault your default SCC Provider"

What version of Source OffSite are you using?

The option to change a working folder by right-clicking the context menu doesn't exist in Visual Studio. So it was probably the case where you changed the working folder outside of Visual Studio, and then when you went back in, Visual Studio wasn't aware of the change.

What steps did you take to change the parent working folder?

I'm pleased that you're working now, but you are correct in that either setting should work. We will continue to investigate problems with "Speed Optimized".

Is it possible for you to post a copy of your Shadow Folder log files please?

Also, do you have the configuration set to "Synchronized" or "Speed Optimized" ?

Ideally, you should upgrade both please.
