Re: Data files were modified by another application

Actually, that explanation was VERY helpful. It gives me something to go on to troubleshoot and reproduce the issue. Maybe Antivirus software???

Thanks again. It's always helpful to why the intention of the message.

Re: Data files were modified by another application

Windows Vista Enterprise SP2
Word 2007

It appears to happen randomly but often enough to warrant an inquiry. I'll try to find a reproducible scenario.

We keep running into the following scenario. (There are several other scenarios that this happens in however I'll document one) 1. We check out a Word Document using the SOS GUI (5.0.1) 2. Use Microsoft Word to open the file, make a change, save the document and close Microsoft Word. 3. Attempt to c...

I'd like to go over a scenario: If I set up a solution w/ a C# based app, and a Setup project ALL under the same solution folder, and then ADD a file to the Setup project in the App dir from a di...

Re: Response for No Message Sent! - SOS 5.0.1

OK, I'm done with testing and here are the results. With the exception of the "Response for No Message Sent!" message box coming up twice in succession there appears to be no difference between SOS 4.2.0 and 5.0.1. The message doesn't come up on the previous version of SOS. That's probably...

Re: Response for No Message Sent! - SOS 5.0.1

I'm posting the "offline" troubleshooting emails for completeness.

OK, done but same symptoms. I noticed something though. Each time the Response for no message sent notification comes up, the status bar is on the following file.

Re: Response for No Message Sent! - SOS 5.0.1

OK, here are the resutls. I don't get any kind of "Response for No Message Sent!" message, however here is a fresh log of using only the SOS 5 GUI to check out a project and sub-projects and then undo checkout. Are the messages in the log expected? 2009-12-28 00:39:41,533 - Loading SourceO...
