Possibly not related to Vault. Have you installed the Hot Fix for VS2008? Things were pretty horrific for us until we did. Details from ScottGu here: http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archive/2008/02/08/vs-2008-web-development-hot-fix-roll-up-available.aspx Download here: https://connect.microsoft.com/...

Quick followup: What are the pros / cons of using folder level security? It looks like this might solve our issues but at what cost? In general, is it better to use separate repositories or use folders with different security? We have about 8 teams currently each setup with their own repositories bu...

Sharing files across repositories

We have a couple of teams that share parts of projects (base classes, utility code, etc) but for the most part, they work on different projects. We don't want ...

Install / SQL Access
We are about to install Vault using different Web and SQL servers. Our team controls the web servers and the SQL DBAs control the SQL servers. All kinds of loops will be required for us to gain SA access to the SQL server (frankly, something that will adds days to the install). The install docs stat...

Vault Client Suggestion
Quick suggestiong for a future release within the Vault Client (unless it is already there in some form and I just don't know about it.) Allow me to right-click on a file or folder and select "Save As...". This would work similar to "Get latest" but I don't want to set a working ...

Self Generated SSL Cert
This is not a Vault issue per say, but I was hoping that someone could comment on any ramifications. I am running Vault at home and want to connect to it while on the road and would like to avoid spending the $50 or so for an SSL certificate given that it will only be me connecting to it. If I self ...

Ian, Great news. Thanks for adressing these issues. Any idea when we might see an update? My employer is looking to purchase 60ish licenses and I think it is the type of environment that is going to be difficult to install timely updates once we get going. I would rather wait a bit before we roll it...
