Re: Vault not accepting issues on import
OK, it looks like somewhere along the line, invalid characters are being stuffed into the HTML.

Vault not accepting issues on import
Hello again, We're fairly confident that our data is well scrubbed and we're testing the import into the work items database. Vault is balking on issue #10. If we remove the attachments, Vault still doesn't want to import issue #10. I think I've attached the log files. Would you be able to tell from...

customizing System Fields doesn't carry through everywhere
Hello, I searched to see if these were was reported but didn't find anything. 1) Via the web client, as admin, I went to Customize Item Fields. In there I changed the Label of a System field (Platform) to a different label (Severity). When I create a Query, and I Customize the viewed columns of that...

blowing away work item (dragnet) DB to start fresh
Hello, We have about 15 "test" work items entered into our work item tracking DB. Beth mentioned that it would be possible to delete the DB and start fresh with work items, as long as we didn't do any check in that linked back to work items. So of course we DID do one test check in associa...

Re: finding Custom fields in Work Item Tracking
I think the last response about Custom fields was that: " Custom field data is saved in sgdragnet.dbo.itemcustomfieldslinker. Fieldvalueid can be found in sgdragnet.dbo.customfields" How can we populate Custom fields via an import using the client library? It looks like stuff in FortressIt...

finding Custom fields in Work Item Tracking
Hello, Via the admin web client, I set up our Work Item Tracking fields. Now the two Custom fields are labeled "Found In" and "Where". Then the programmer who is importing the data from our old defect tracking DB told me that he needs the ORIGINAL column names as they were before...

using Milestones in Vault Work Item Tracking
Hello, We're in the process of importing our defect tracking database into Vault Work Item Tracking. Our old defect tracking DB had a Fixed In/Fix In field. We would use that field to note the version of software that a bug should be, or was, fixed in. We could filter on that field and view all issu...

Re: getting started with Work Items (importing and configuri
Wonderful, thank you! So we're digging deeper into the import process. We have attachments that we need to keep with our issues. 1) Looking at the bottom of FortressItemExpanded, would we add our attachments to our imported issues using GetMantisItem() or UpdateWithNewMantisItem()? [Hidden] public M...

Re: getting started with Work Items (importing and configuri
Will do!
Another related question please?
Our old defect tracking software supported HTML in large test fields. The HTML tags appear in our export to CSV. I don't suppose that will import nicely into Work Item Tracking? I'm guessing it doesn't support HTML? Thanks!

getting started with Work Items (importing and configuring)
Hi, We're gearing up to start importing our current bug list into Vault Work Items. We have a few questions/confirmations: 1) We are feeling out how to add items. That brought us here: https://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=8020 We put a few sample items into a Work Item project. Th...

Re: import into Item Tracking
Hi! Sorry it took me so long to get back to this. We're gearing up to start importing soon. With respect to #4: In our current defect tracking software, I have an email button. Pressing the button takes all of the relevant info in current issue and plops it into an email. Any attachments are attache...
