While branching vault becomes unresponsive
We just completed an upgrade to 4.0.4. One of the things we were hoping for is improvements in branching. It seems like the branching is faster which is great (it was 45 minutes to branch our tree now that's down to 12). The issue that's really the problem is that users seem to be locked out while i...

Keyword Expansion length limit too small
We do a lot of Java development and would like to do keyword expansion on .properties files. Unfortunatey, that extension cannot be added with the admin tool or manually in the database (the extension field is too small). Does this qualify as something that can be fixed in an upcoming release? Also,...

Vault 3.1 History query problems
We were on 3.0.5 of Vault and just upgraded to 3.1. Everything seems to be ok except for recursive history queries. I used to be able to query a top level project without setting a filter and it would limit the rows to whatever my row limit was (2500). Now when I query, I have to specify a start dat...

I have tried using the search tab but I can't differentiate between files checked out exclusively and files just checked out. I think I need to be able to do that or even better if the merge tool could just tell me what file failed to check out. Can something like this be put on the enhancement list...

Merging problem - check out failed
Sometimes when I am merging an entire branch, I get a "checkout failed" message when its trying to check out all the files I merged. It has turned out to be because some files are checked out exclusively already but Vault gives me no information on which file failed to checkout so it is ve...

Vault Eclipse Plugin
I recently read an article by Eric Sink on building an Eclipse plugin using the MainSoft stuff. I was wondering if this was released yet. If it's not, is there any way to beta test it? We are a 28 user customer of the software with about 12 of use using Eclipse as our main IDE. We really want to sta...

Ah, mystery solved. Without the date filter, it shows the paths with the date filter, no paths just the filename. Does everyone see this or is there some configuration we can change to work around it? We can always use no date filter for the time being, but that is a little slower. We are using 2.0....

Vault History Viewer - full path to file
When viewing history for an entire project and all of it's sub-projects, we'd often like to know where in the hierarchy a file is located. The name column just shows the file name. For example, we have several files with the same name (Manager.java) that exist in different sub projects and we'd like...

Batch merging of branch code and comments
I would like to be able to merge my entire engineering team's changes to a branched version of our code base into the trunk. The problem I'm having is that when I merge everyone's changes, 1) the user who made the change is not preserved and 2) more importantly, I have to re-type the comments that e...
