So far I switched to VS 2003 compatible mode. Works like a charm.

I use VS2005 client. Do you mean Tools -> Options -> "Concurrent Development Style"? I tried, it does not help.

Where can I read more about VS2003 compatible client? Does it provide the same functionality like 2005?

Installed Vault 3.5.2 on the server. The problem is still here...

No, I didn't restore DB when reverted back to 3.5.0, but Vault seems to work well - because I got the error at very first steps so no DB changes were performed to break the compatibility.

These steps didn't help. Both Vault and Dragnet run as virtual directories under the default website, which application pool runs under Local System account, i.e. with high system privileges. I also tried to set trust level to Full in web.configs but it didn't help too.

I installed Vista as upgrade for Windows XP and did not reinstall the applications.
