Using same working folder for multiple projects

Vault 5.0.2.18753 I did some searching here but didn't find a defintive answer. Is there any plan of adding the ability to assgning the same working folder to multiple Vault folders? We just moved from VSS and this is one of the big requests I'm getting from my users. This is mainly due to a large d...

Re: Possible bug in Unshelve with new files/folders

That does seem to be the issue. Is there someway to set the Temp path used by Vault to shorten this a bit since it does not prompt for a Working Folder? Or I guess adding a Feature Request to have it prompt for that instead of defaulting to the temp folder. I'm hoping not many people will run into t...

Issue with Security Report Tool

Vault 5.0.2.18753 I'm seeing a bit of oddness in the Security Report Tool, the Folder Security section. The output contains multiple entries, sort of. Basically it's showing permissions for folders that the name was changed or it was moved multiple times, once for each type of change. These didn't h...

Re: Possible bug in Unshelve with new files/folders

Shannon, no nothing shows up in the Messages pane and nothing in the log file. Basically all that happens is that I see the the lower left corner of the Vault client saying it's Downloading Files and then once it's done I'm just back to the ShelveSet Details dialog. We never get the Success dialog a...

Re: File Content Search

I'd like to add a vote for being able to do a Find in Files. One idea for you, perhaps implement it like Blame, via the web interface, allowing for the temp to be on the server as this would allow the entire process to be much faster than downloading to the client.

Thanks,
J

Re: Possible bug in Unshelve with new files/folders

actually that is what it isn't doing. Only if the user has mapped a working folder to the parent does anything happen, including the final dialog you mention. So for example: I add the folder "special" and all it's files on my system to $/source/java Then create a Shelve Set and Unshelve t...

Possible bug in Unshelve with new files/folders

Vault 5.0.2.18753 I tried a search for this so please excuse me if this is a repeat post. We found an issue with Unshelving if the entire contents of the Shelve Set is Adding Files or Folders. When another user Unshelves the shelve set they will not be prompted to set a working folder and if one isn...

Re: Feature Request - Shelving and User access rights

We found a work around for this. If the user sets themselves to work like CVS style then it will then show files edited within the Pending Change Set allowing them to create a Shelve Set. Just wanted to let you know.

Is there a way to set filters for Folder Diff in Vault

Vault 5.0.2.18753 I wasn't able to find anything other than the basic filters for the Folder Diff portion of Vault. By basic I mean the Show Idententical, Show Left Only, etc. Is there a way to have an exclude list of file extensions? I know if you deselect the option to "Use built in program f...

Re: Admin Web Interface timing out

This is IIS 6 on a Windows 2003 64bit Server.

btw, it only timesout on Folders that have medium to a lot of child folders/files. On small folders in the same repository and same main branch it works quickly.

Thanks,
J

Admin Web Interface timing out

Is there a setting I can change to increase the timeout period for the Admin pages? I am having an issue right now with Folder Security, when I set the permissions for a user and select Update it will just sit for several minutes and then error saying it Timed Out. If I browse back to the same Folde...

Feature Request - Shelving and User access rights

Vault 5.0.2.18753 We have a strict access rights policy for our Source Control and it has presented a feature request! Currently a user can only create a ShelveSet from files already checked out, other than adding new files that is, which requires them to have Read/Write access. It would be a very n...

Removing unused Handoff Sources

Vault 5.0.1.18729 After trying out the Handoff mode and then deciding on going with the Import mode instead I discovered that I cannot seem to remove the Handoff Sources. Is there a way to do this? We no longer have any repositories referencing the sources and I would like to at least have them not ...

Re: Label Diff with Command Line Client

Thanks for the reply.
Yes the ability to Diff Labels on the command line with output to standard out or to a file would be very useful so thank you for adding that feature request.

Thanks,
J
