that makes sense

I first ran into it as an issue when I was opening the second solution for the first time from Vault, so that explains it. I'll play around with this and let you know if I still have questions.
Thanks!

Question about Vault IDE Client & Profiles

I work on multiple projects- so ideally I would like to use the Vault IDE Client with VS.NET 2003. Also, I would like to use profiles with automatic log in so that I do not need to log in when I open a solution; when I tried them, it seemed to use the same profile when I opened another solution. Is ...

DiffMerge bug? SQL files looks like binary garbage

We just purchased Vault and are using 2.0.3. Well, one of my first experiences is that DiffMerge is showing whacky stuff - it looks like binary garbage. I am trying to see the differences between two versions of a SQL file. They are both plain text and look fine in SQL Server Query Analyzer. We have...

Import Errors

Ok, I rolled VSS back to 6.0c with the specified hotfix on the machine that runs the import tool. I received fewer errors (phew), but still had 93 errors. Any ideas? These labels are failry important. Also, I don't understand what the first two error messages are talking about. Thanks- Luther Here t...

Import Errors

Ok, the import didn't take the estimated 1 day, but only a few hours. However, there were many errors: I got two of these that don't make any sense to me: Item $/Softagon caused the transaction to fail: An item with the same name or object id already exists in the selected folder. Transaction failed...

No object can have the same label applied twice?

When doing an import, I was prompted which labels I would like to import. I selected them all, of course; each label refers to a build that went to stage or production. Then Vault told me that "In Vault, no object can have the same label applied twice." What does this mean and what are the...

"Quiet" mode?

I am trying to test the import tool with the demo version of Vault. I need ti import one of largest and most important databases, which is also still active; thus, I need to do it after hours. Unfortunately, the pre-import part takes several hours (at least - it was done when I came in the morning a...

Looks like that worked (so far)

Here are scripts I used for the permissions: SQL ------ use sgvault GO declare @domain sysname declare @machine sysname declare @olduser varchar(1000) declare @newuser varchar(1000) -- Get DOMAIN name of the server create table #TempDomain(a sysname, b sysname) insert into #TempDomain exec master..x...

When I installed .NET on this server, I did not create any additional accounts for it to run under. We have one ASP.NET application running under Framework version 1.0, and the rest of the server running under 1.1. The machine.config file for the 1.0 framework uses userName="SYSTEM"; so I ...

Hmmm...

Ok, under Custom it says "web.config identity impersonation". I had assumed that this meant it would try and impersonate whoever was using the web services or asp.net pages. It wasn't clear that I could specify a user & password. Which brings me to the next problem. When I specufy cust...
