Thanks for the suggestions...
Thanks for the great suggestions. I'll see which options fit us better. As for the labeling, checking in/out, etc... What happens with Vault a year or two from now when we have a bunch of labels/branches/log entries, etc...? Is there a way to "trim" smoe of the activity? For example, Is th...

First of all, why do you say the following? Vault does not like the source code to be in a directory different than the solution/project files I'm sure I screwed up on where I got the message from, it must have been VS.NET telling me this. I'll try to recreate the project, maybe I can hand-edit the...

Version control theory and best practicces?
Hello all, I am new to source control and to Vault (in fact I've asked a couple questions about Vault already), and am relatively lost when it comes to the whole version control area. In the past my source control was limited to "ok, it's a release so let's ZIP the source code at this point.&qu...

Feature Request: Add Files functionality and path management
Hello, I am switching all my projects from no source control to Vault 2.0. I am adding some projects via the development laguage's IDE if the IDE supports Vault, but other projects and peripheral files I am adding by hand through the Vault client, and it is proving to be very frustrating. Before add...

Another occurrence
Chalk up another occurrence of this. The problem was the same thing, the vbaddin.ini entry was not there. After adding the entry by hand, everything behaved perfectly.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Adding VS.NET .sln file?
Hello, I searched the forums but did not find a comment on this issue. Please let me know if it addressed somewhere... I have a solution with several projects in it that I would like to add to source control (Vault 2.0). I have added one project at a time because the projects each have a different p...
