HELP: Cannot connect anymore to server
Hello, I've installed yesterday Visual Studio 2005 to fix the show diff on pinned file issue. We're now unable to connect to the server ! You will find below the log. I can connect with Source safe admin, source safe explorer locally on the computer where the sourcegear server is installed. But I ca...

select a pinned file that has been modified after the pinned version GLV on that file (let's say latest version si 100) ->At this point it's the good version that is on disk (so the ssapi.dll works) Then select the file, clic the showdiff icon. On the right side you have %temp%/version_100<file>.cpp...

Diff is incorrect on pinned files
Hello,
on a pinned file, if you call show diff, the diff is based on the current file version, not the pinned version. You need to go to the history dialog and select the pinned line to have the diff work on the correct version.

a simple idea to greatly improve diff performance
Hello, I noticed that a recursive diff copies all the folders in a temp directory before doing the diff. So a recursive diff with a compiled projected(debug/release object files) and an uncompiled project is about 10 times slower... It is most noticeable on a laptop with slower drives. Could you pro...

The issue is not about the icon disappearing, which isn't important. But the diff is WRONG. It's not a question about what the folder should be diff'ed against. It MUST use the pinned version ! Otherwise the show diff is useless; why should one want to diff against the current version if he's workin...

diff is wrong on pinned projects
Hello, when I compare a pinned file with the file in my folder; it is correct. However if I do a directory/project comparison, each local file is compared with the latest version of the file, not the pinned version in the project. Is it a known issue ? Is there a work around ? After the comparison, ...

Date and recursive Diff
Hello, would it be possible to have the dates being displayed using the local settings. It's very disturbing to have month/day in the reverse order I'm used to... Would it be possible also to have the recursive diff use the current directory, rather than creating a temporary one. Using beyond compar...

Tonya, I forgot to say that I use the history dialog box to get this other version. I understand a GLV always retrieve the pinned version, but in my case, I select a version in the history and click Get. I can extract any version of an unpinned file, but only the pinned version whatever version I se...

Get fails on pinned files
Hello, I cannot get another version of a pinned file other than the pinned version. If the file is branched or shared, it works fine. The get works and SOS displays it as Old with the retrieved version. If the file is pinned, even if I remove the existing one, the get succeeds but SOS reports the sa...
