I've just noticed the tool tip on the Commit button - 'Check In entire change set', so it is intentional.

Feature Request: DiffMerge
Do you have any plans to include a text search in DiffMerge?
Most of our ex-VSS users were quite fond of the text search in the VSS diff.

Commit Button Behaviour
The status of selected items in the Pending Change Set seems to be ignored by the Commit button, but not by the Commit item on the context menu. If I select a couple of items from my change set, right click and commit.. the checked status of items in the Commit dialog reflects those that I selected....

I know this is an old thread, but it may be worth while me adding my experience. Help to convert more suicidal VSS users :) Our previous setup consisted of several VSS databases, serving a team of in house developers and 3 remote, via Source Off-Site. We now have a 7 repositories in our SGV database...

Error 1109 - Renaming a folder
I have just created a branch of a large project (approx 10,000 files, several levels of sub-folders). In the new branch I have deleted a couple of sub-folders and renamed a couple of sub-folders. One of the sub-folders was incorrectly renamed. Subsequent attempts to rename this folder give Error 110...

Just want to add my support to this.. In the unlikely event that a developer makes a mistake  , it would be nice to change a transaction comment. We use our bug tracking issue numbers as comments, and sometimes a typo has been known to creep in. In VSS we could modify the comment, admittedly ...

Problem is fixed now, though unfortunately too many things changed so I couldn't say which was the important change. Network admin has modified some of the privileges on the 2003 server, we're on a domain and the user that everything worked for was a domain admin, the other users were just domain us...

Unhandled exception when merging branches
Hi, I need a little help solving a problem with Merge Branches. Here's what I'm doing: 1. I create a copy branch of a folder. 2. I checkout the same file in both branches of the folder and edit each. 3. I checkin both files, first the file from the original branch, then the one from the copy. 4. I u...
