Rebind Projects and Solution doesn't complete
I have tried twice to run the Rebind Projects and Solution procedure to change our bindings from classic to enhanced. The second time I left it running from 15:00 to 7:30 the next morning, but it still hadn't come back with a list of projects elegible to convert. It gets past the "while the ser...

Re: Windows 8 Preview Vault 5.1.2.19281 won't install
Seems to work fine after installing V3.5 'feature' of .NET (which includes 2.0 and 1). Sorry for the false alarm.
Might want to check for Windows8 in 6.0 install if it needs .NET 3.5 and at least warn the poor windows 8 user

Windows 8 Preview Vault 5.1.2.19281 won't install
More FYI than a problem (although it would have been nice if I could have used it). Error is "Installer Information" SourceGear Vault Standard Client cannot be installed on systems with .NET Framework version smaller than 2.0 I find this strange as I can see under the C:\windows\Microsoft....

Re: Error 2753 trying to update from 5.0.4 to 5.1.0
No, it was our other sysadmin cleaning up permissions on the sql server (unbeknowst to me) that removed my privileges. Nothing to do with the register cleanup.

Re: Error 2753 trying to update from 5.0.4 to 5.1.0
Okay, cleaned up the registry as much as possible. Installed 5.1.0 without further problems (except for discovering in the move to new SQL server that I had lost sysadmin privileges and the install aborted due to no permission on the master database - at least a clear message existed as to the probl...

Error 2753 trying to update from 5.0.4 to 5.1.0
Am trying to run the VaultServer64_5_1_0_19172.msi installation and it is encountering error 2753 during the 'remove applications' sequence, then aborting. Now, the first time I tried this, I was prompted for the previous location of the 5_0_4_18845.msi file (we have moved servers so the original lo...

Re: Server 2008 R2 64Bit strange behavior after install
Sorry for the delay in posting a resolution. I gave up with that server installation. When the 'new' machine was converted to a domain controller, everything 'broke'; seems the CRM and SQL server both store SIDS for identities for some things and when you change a server to a domain controller, the ...

Re: Server 2008 R2 64Bit strange behavior after install
Can you access http://localhost:8000/vaultservice ? That the "home page" for Vault. Sorry, it was a typo in my earlier submission; I meant vaultservice and no, I cannot access http://localhost:8000/vaultservice I uninstalled 'static content', restarted the server, reinstalled 'static cont...

Re: Server 2008 R2 64Bit strange behavior after install
One of your earlier questions asked about using http://localhost versus http://server to make sure there were no 'firewall' problems. One thing I tracked down with out CRM installation is that http://localhost (on the server) does NOT respond to web requests [In the CRM, the Async service was config...

Re: Server 2008 R2 64Bit strange behavior after install
Have attached the screen shots of what I believe are correct illustration that static content is enabled. If I missed one, let me know - perhaps there is some other option I need to turn on elsewhere?
Also included the configuration of the web server (two pages).

Re: Server 2008 R2 64Bit strange behavior after install
Hypothesis based on getting our CRM add-on to work. I discovered that .net SQL client SqlReader quietly fails to return any data when the asp program was operating as 'network service'. I suspect some system 'right' is missing that prevents the low level read network packet that is used to fetch the...

Re: Server 2008 R2 64Bit strange behavior after install
Yes, have tried iireset. Some more (probably important :)) information. I run the VaultService on port 8000; I'm wondering if there is something else besides TCP port 8000 incoming&outgoing I need to open on the firewall? The behavior is like you can connect but no data comes back like it is bei...
