is there any good tutorials or manuals for how to use branching, trunks and all that fun stuff in source gear? best pratices? anything like that? thanks!

in 4.0.2 still doesn't work over a different host name externally through the internet... but it FINALLY works over the VPN correctly... yay! one of the two issues solved!

alright, I'm about to rip my hair out... I absoutly can not work at home over this now... I tried the host name idea... but doesn't work... when the host name makes it back to our server it doesnt translate right because we are using host headers to tell what site on our web server to go to... it se...

In Microsofts VSS and in Vaul 3.5.x at the solution level in the IDE if you selected the solution, right clicked it there was a "Get Latest Version" which would recursively get the lastest versions of all the items in the solution (vs 2003 and vs2005) now in VS2005 with the VS2005 Vault pr...

well now I am getting 200% more errors in visual studio since 4.0... it seems like when doing stuff in the text editor in vs2005 when the vault pending list is open on the bottom i get a lot of hangs when I right click text selections and random compiler crashes and stuff where the IDE just littearl...

In 3.5 we had our server set up like this Internally our server was called "sourcecontrol" which was just a DNS Alias to a server called "Web" on which our Vault web service ran... this same webservice was exposed to the internet through our public dns host name which was intrane...

one more thing in the vault pending changes window if i do a commit all it works fine! just when i right click a solution and get commit in this specific project

not sure if its showing up in the logs or not, but ill post it here in a minute, but it crashes when the vault window pops up saying "Please Wait" as the title and "Checking In changes to {project} ..." {project} being the name of our solution

well I got it converted after some issues, but now I ran into a "system.notimplemented" issue with the VS2005 source control provider... when I check in an individual project, it works ok, but when I check in a solution it throws this error back EventType: clr20r3 P1:devenv.exe P2: 8.0.507...
