Status search users list

Our source history, imported from VSS, contains a few users that are no longer with the company, and are therefore set as inactive in SV Admin. Is there any way I can remove these users from the username list on the Status Search tab in the GUI Client? It's not a big deal, but in our situation the i...

Of course you didn't really lose any work because you made a backup before doing the mass checkout. It would have been foolish not to exercise some caution, given your history with Vault testing.

After some further investigation, we can now reliably reproduce this problem. 1. Choose a file and show history. 2. From any version in the history right click and choose Diff 3. Select 'Any repository folder/file' and then choose a target file from somewhere, doesn't seem to matter where. We've tri...

I agree with Don here. Our Vault server is only visible on our private network, home workers need to gain VPN access before logging into Vault. If anybody were to get through our firewall, VPN and domain security.. source vault access would just be one of a big list of worries  Our internal n...

Just want to reiterate what gaffa said about archiving VSS databases. We had a large VSS database which consisted of three major folders, with no shares between them.. however we did merge files between these folders. Approx 10,000 files per folder and nearly 12 months history. I archived each of th...

Dan,

It was just a few files within the same working folder.. Unfortunately we have no more info, but if there's a next time I'll get a copy of the ApplicationData\SourceGear\Vault_1 files.. if they would be useful.

We are using 2.0.3 GUI client BTW.

Thanks.

Incorrect remote version

One of our users was unable to checkout a particular file, "Can't get the requested version". The remote version was indicated as 0, when the real remote version was 6. In addition there were several other files with incorrect remote version numbers.. although they weren't 0, they were out...

Time outs/disconnects

Some of our users have reported being disconnected when leaving SV idle for a while. Haven't yet been able to identify any pattern. The only thing that I can see is "System Started" messages in sgvault.log. These seem to occur at random times throughout the day, although they don't coincid...

Yes we do have folder security enabled. The files were only checked out to one person, although we don't require exclusive locks on this particular repository.

We tried various combinations of history, diff and refresh, none of which caused the display to correctly update.. I wasn't sure about doing anything more serious, just in case there was a risk it would upset the database.. perhaps that's just old VSS nerves :) I'm not really worried about this, the...

File status & change set not updating after commit

Unfortunately don't have a guaranteed way to repeat this yet, nor is there anything in the server log.. though I'm only running it in Quiet mode at the moment. User has several files checked-out and edited, ready for check-in. Selects all files from the change set, and commits. Commit dialog appears...
