Admin tool scrolling

In the 4.0.4 admin tool, when I select a repository from the left window, when the page refreshes the left window scrolls back to the top. Shouldn't it maintain scroll position?

When can the ability to set this permission be added? This is something we need to be able to do.

Is there any way to tweak this to make it possible?

And in the meantime, can you tell me how to do it as an administrator?

Thanks. You say "Once a project has been switched by one user over to VSIP (VS 2005), other users must perform a Get and switch to using VSIP." What will happen if the other users don't do that? Will it break the solution file and csproj file? Revert them back to where it uses MCSCCI? Fail...

Thanks, but I'm confused.

If the solution is in Vault, and I get it from Vault to my local machine, don't I need to know which plug-in it's using before I open it in Visual Studio?

Questions about updating source control bindings in VS 2005

After upgrading to 4.0.4, we have begun updating the bindings in the solutions we're working on to use the new VS 2005 plug-in. If someone gets latest from Vault and opens a solution that someone else may or may not have updated, is there a way to know that easily? Does it work okay if one user has ...

We upgraded last week. If we could roll back to 3.5 without losing a week's worth of work, we would in a heartbeat. We've had a lot of issues with the new VS 2005 plug-in, and even when we get things working, and although we kind of like some of the new features, we really miss the tree view for pen...

I would suggest that a user's default rights should always be inherited from his/her group membership. Without group membership, a user should only have those rights that are explicitly defined. My addition is in bold below: If a user is explicitly given rights to a folder, then that setting overrid...

Please consider this, then, a request to be able to do what I thought I could do all along: specify, by group, default R, C, and A permissions. As far as the slowness, here are some examples: On Repository.aspx, the Save button is disabled unless I change something. I check the box to enable folder ...

No, this doesn't work, because I have not enabled folder security on most of the repositories. My understanding of folder security is that it allows different access to the folders within a repository. I'm talking about general default access to all repositories, and I don't want to set these permis...

I'm not talking about folder security. I'm talking about default Read, Check In/Check Out, and Add/Rename/Delete permissions. I am unable to set these at the group level. I want to assign a user to a group and have all their permissions inherited from that group, except where I explicitly override. ...

4.0 Admin Tool is a nightmare

I can't figure out how to do many of the things that were simple in the old tool. Right now I'm very frustrated because I want to change the default rights for a group and I can't see any way to do that. I'm having to update each user manually. If I go to Server Settings -> Groups, shouldn't I be ab...

Thanks, I managed to rebind manually. I'm going to be instructing my users not to use your automatic tool. They seem to be doing fine with the manual process.

I'd suggest you remove it from your forum or at least provide better instructions and troubleshooting tips.

Running the automatic rebinding tool

In this topic: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=8214 You give instructions on automatically rebinding solutions and projects to take advantage of the new IDE integration for VS 2005. I ran this against a solution, and it seemed to run successfully. However, when I then opened Visual Stu...

On the UndoCheckout tab there is no option to select all repositories, so I can only do it one repository at a time. We have a situation where many of our users are upgrading to new computers. We want to be sure they check everything in before they move to their new computer. Other than checking one...
