Your user may have had something affected in the cache file. Have the user clear the repository tree in the cache using instructions posted here: viewtopic.php?t=6.

Did you move to a different server at all?

The users and license information are all contained in the sgmaster database. Are you making backups of that database?

The Vault Cross Platform Client (CPC) only supports Java 7 and Java 8 up to 8.0.0.151. In Java 8 build 152 a bug was introduced that rendered Vault's login window inoperable. We discussed this offline, cleaned up a few URLs in the Vault Plugins, checked the URLs in the web.config files, and added the IIS_IUSRs account to the folder to which it shadows.

Go to the Vault admin web page, and click on Vault Plugins. Then test the URL for the Vault Shadow Folders. That URL might need to be updated.

The best way is to either Check In on the first PC or to perform an Undo Check Out. If the first PC is gone, then have a Vault admin perform an Undo Check Out using the Vault admin web page. The MAX_PATH limitation of 260 characters is tied to the Win32 API and .Net, which also sets the restrictions for Vault. Another work-around is to create junctions so that Vault has a shorter path.

A work around was recently pointed out to me, but I haven't tested it fully to see how accurate it is. If you are viewing Blame in the web client, you can edit the URL to the number of versions you wish to show. The number at the end is the number of versions.
