BTW, I since realized that it isn't that the profiles are simply empty for the Admin Tool -- the entire profile section is disabled, and it's not apparent to me how to enable it.

I went and tried a test with a new project, and yes, .csproj is on the exclude list.

This of course prompts the question, why is it on the exclude list? (I.e., does it ship that way, or is that our fault?)

Hard power off, reboot. Vault is not listed in Control Panel Add/Remove.

Install Vault 3.1.6 client again (presumably right over itself).

This time it finishes in nothing flat, no errors.

So apparently it is fixed now.

Cannot logoff, cannot shut down, cannot reboot.

Vault installation appears to have completely hung the machine.

Hard reboot is apparently the only answer, and hope Vault didn't corrupt the Windows Installer database.

I pushed Cancel, chose Exit Install, and it still appears to be hung as before, but now the Cancel button is dead.

Installing Vault Client 3.1.6 onto XPSP2.

The dialog says 0 seconds left, but the button says Cancel still.

I see no indication that it is alive -- it may be dead/hung -- I'm not sure how long to give it before giving up on it...
