Re: Is there a length limit on checkin comments?
Linda said that it didn't, so I was just going by that. If it already does, great.

Re: Is there a length limit on checkin comments?
Can the length limit be enforced by the dialog?

Re: Is it possible to filter the 'pending change set' list?
I do too. Right click on the item in the pending change set and choose "Edit Item Comment". It shows up in a column in the pending change set.

Re: Is it possible to filter the 'pending change set' list?
I've looked for something like this in the past. The best I've been able to come up with is to set item comments, and then sort by that column.

Re: Need explanation of Undocumented setting
I thought that is what it was, but I wasn't sure how that was different than the "perform repository deletions locally" option immediately below it. Is the one below it for ones that you've done yourself but not yet checked in?

Re: Can't Rollback
If you don't have auto commit turned on, selecting the rollback item just puts a rollback entry in your pending change set. Nothing else visible happens at that time.

Re: Feature Suggestion: Email Notification Formatting
What you post as "preferred" is exactly what I get. It's probably similar to the problem I have where all of the lines of the comment are run together. This seems to happen because in some parts of the message, there are CR/NL pairs for line endings, and in other parts of the message, ther...

Re: Quick fix for UNKNOWN status
For several versions now, I have not been able to resolve unknown status in a folder with anything short of a get on the whole folder or a get or diff on each file. It used to be that a diff of one file in the folder would refresh the whole folder, but no longer, as described earlier in this thread....

These are all good ideas. #3 and #5 are similar to some other requests in the past. http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=6731 http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=10338 http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1472 http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopi...

Re: Merge Branches tool to limit versions
I really hope this will be done soon. It's been more than 5 years since I first brought up this issue and it's really making things difficult for us, especially when it never returns and we have to exit and start over. http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=3125&hilit=+merge At t...

Re: Multiple Email Notifications
You could always create a mailing list, or distribution list, and have your notifications sent to that. If you can't get one created on your mail server, there are free services like google groups.

Re: File view sorting issue
"I had come across this one which I've tried and what it says doesn't work, at least for me or my users. Since it seems to be from the 5.0 preview info I'm guessing it got dropped come release for some reason or another."
That's from the SourceOffSite forum, so a different product.

I've not seen the first behavior, but the second is described here:
