Sorry, but this is by design.

<p>Sorry, but this is by design. <p>FolderDiff doesn't run the full diff-engine when scanning directories. It does a straight memcpy on each pair of files and stops as soon as it finds a difference. This was done for speed. FolderDiff would be even slower if it ran everythign thru the full diff-engi...

Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for the comments.

We've had several requests for each of the features that you've listed. We're considering each of them for the next major release. I can't promise anything right now, but they are being considered.

Thanks again for the comments.

Thanks for the comments.

<p>I've been wanting to do this for a while now for a variety of reasons. And I looked at putting it in for 3.1 (out this week), but there wasn't time. <p>I'll add your note to the bug/feature TODO list item that I have for it. <p>I can't promise anything immediate, but hopefully I can get it into t...

thanks for the suggestion

Thanks for the suggestion/request. We've had several for that particular
feature. I can't promise anything now, but we'll certainly consider it for
the 3.2 or 4.0 release.

thanks again,

Try this

I've not used StarTeam, but based upon your post, I'll suggest that you try this: /r=$resultfile /m $usertip $basefile $branchtip If I understand their meaning, this will put your local user file in the left panel, the common ancestor in the center (for merging into), and the branch tip in the right...

was the binary character a null?

without seeing your file, i'll have to make a few guesses: [1] was the first binary character a NULL (0x00)? there's an errant strlen() in the import code which could cause what you're seeing. [2] what is the character encoding setting in the ruleset that is being used for the file? most of the rule...

let us do some research on this and get back to you.

Let me do some research on this and get back to you.

I plan to add a section to the manual on configuring
DiffMerge with other source code control providers and
TFS is on the list.

It may take a day or two to get to it.

thanks for your patience,
