Re: Prevent exclusive checkout on mergeable files

I know this is a very old thread, but here we are on version 6.1 and this feature still has not been added. I would like to reiterate this request. It gets tiresome having to constantly unlock files that people forget to check-in, or they have not taken the time to configure their concurrent develop...

Re: how to delete a repository?

FYI, while doing this in version 6.1.0 and with the repository open in the client at the same time as deleting via the Admin panel, the client acted almost as if the repository still existed. When attempting to view a label of a file in the repo I got the following error. http://img201.imageshack.us...

Re: Source Code Table in sgvault (v6.0.1)

Well it took some time, but it looks like updating to 6.1 fixed whatever was broken with indexing. It still isn't setting my web.config properly upon install though as it continues to use 127.0.0.1 and I have to manually change it. You may want to note that for the next update. :) Anyway, it looks l...

Re: Paging Broken for UndoCheckOut.aspx

In case anyone else is having this same issue and it has not been fixed in later versions or you're still on 6.0.1, here is the work-around I got from Beth. Thanks again Beth! :) Go to VaultService\Admin Open UndoCheckOut in notepad Find this line: <vwl:GridViewToujours ID="GridViewCheckedOutFi...

Re: Source Code Table in sgvault (v6.0.1)

Hello Linda, I'm sorry for the terribly late reply. I've been incredibly busy and haven't had time to read and troubleshoot this until now. I read through the article you supplied and I have a couple notes. Bottom line is I'm still unable to activate indexing even for a single repository. To answer ...

Re: Source Code Table in sgvault (v6.0.1)

I've tried to enable Indexing, but the setting just won't take. (FYI, my sgvault is ~25GB and sgindex about 3MB). I remember trying this in the past and having the same issue. The indexing just doesn't want to enable for me. It's not throwing any errors or providing any message either. :( Here's wha...

Source Code Table in sgvault (v6.0.1)

Which table in the sgvault database contains the actual source code files, and are they text searchable? I would like to construct a query to search all my non-binary files, in all my repositories for a certain keyword. I understand this will be a VERY slow query, but I'm trying to find some VERY ol...

Re: Poor Comment Visibility = Poor Documentability

Wonderful, thank you... This is a really important feature in my eyes, and I really don't see the point of taunting the developer with that delicious looking comment box, yet the inability to edit it, lol. Especially when I've read documentation stating that this should be possible. >.< I look forwa...

Re: Poor Comment Visibility = Poor Documentability

I've come across a directly related bug / feature request. Pretty sure it's a bug though. While using the client and viewing a folder's properties (e.g. at the root level) by right-clicking and going to "Properties..." the "Comment:" field is apparently read-only. I am unable to ...

Re: Import Errors when Migrating Projects Between Repositori

Thank you Linda for helping me get this fixed. It seems the issue was that the repository I was trying to Import into had the "Require check in comments" option ticked and since only some of the files in the project had check in comments, it failed. The solution was to un-tick this option,...

Paging Broken for UndoCheckOut.aspx

It's all in the subject line. Paging doesn't work for the page "UndoCheckOut.aspx" on the Vault 6.0.1 Admin page for a Repository Undo Check Out. I have tested in IE 9, Firefox 16, and Chrome 23. Some of my repositories have several pages of checked out files, but I can only view the first...

Re: Select All in Pending Change Set takes ~10 Minutes!!

Would this cover the case where the change set is a direct result of creating a new branch? Because that is where these "changes" are coming from in most cases as far as I understand it. Thanks for logging the feature request. When our engineer has some time, I'll ask him to look into tryi...

Re: Select All in Pending Change Set takes ~10 Minutes!!

As mentioned in the OP, an estimated 6-7,000 files in the change set perhaps. There is no counter for this that I'm aware of, so this is just a rough estimate.
