Then, at last, I understand...
It only fails from the history window.
It's not commited if done from the file list, you have it in the pending change set
It's automatically commited (whatever option you have selected) if you select a file, show history, then pin any version.

Ideal branch
Hello I would like to know the way you thought branches should be idealy done in Vault. There are many solutions (pin a project, branch everything, pin every file, ....) and I'm always unsure what would be best. Is there some sample, documentation on the way you expect user to do it. It might depend...

Re: Pin not commited
In one sentence: I would like to have the pin/unpin command be present in the commit list. Otherwise... Let's take an example (a real one as you can guess). I work on project A that is to be released in a while and make important changes on a shared class (.cpp & .h) Someone works on project B t...

Re: Pin not commited
Yes, I would like to pin several files at the same time. I'm rather disappointed that pin/unpin are not in history. According to me this is mandatory.... You cannot have an history that is correct if you do not store this information. However this explains why it do not require a commit. It doesn't ...

Pin not commited
Hello
unless I'm wrong Pin/unpin do not require commit. Is there something wrong in my setup or is it by design ?
A fix would be great, as generally we pin .h & .cpp at the same time, so committing both changes at the same time makes sense.
Thanks
Xavier

file case issue
Hello we use vault to archive our Linux website server. However file case is important, we then needed to make a fix by changing the case of a file that was wrong. The problem is that Vault refuses the change as the destination file exists (same name, but different case). We had to make 2 renames, b...

Re: Removing a user
And please add to never display web only users. Unless I missed something there is absolutely no case where those users should have a file chcked out, a shelve or whatever ? If it's possible to create a shelve from the WEB, then please add the feature to hide web only users and users that don't have...

Re: Removing a user
In the search pane of the vault gui client all the users are listed, in the shelve list also, ... Even the WEB users only are listed in the VAULT GUI Client lists. It would be great to, at least filter the developpers only and possibly remove the inactive users. As for renaming users, the problem is...

Removing a user
Hello, we create user for customer's, developers, people needing temporary access to the repositories and look at bugs. The problem is we now have really a lot of users and they cannot be removed (unless I missed something). It could be OK, if inactive users were hidden from the lists (almost all of...

Re: Critical: Fortress/Vault do not start anymore
I know I shouldn't have (as I have called you), but I tried to restart SQLServer and it worked after some minutes (after the cache was built I guess)
Is it possible to do sanity checks to know if we've lost some data ?
Thanks

Re: cannot set security
Hello
I've cleaned and reorder the source tree to ease security. Now I would like to start from a clean security setup ?
Do you have some SQL command (or create if not too difficult...) that would do that (reset the security of all folder to defaul) ?
Thanks
