I've tried this out a couple ways, but am not seeing the problem. Here is what I tried: 1. Create simple C# project in VS.Net 2003, Vault 2.0 - Add 4 forms to the project, and to Vault source control. 2. On separate machine, do an open from source control from VS.Net from same project. On that machi...

Do you have a File Add operation in your pending change set that keeps failing, and when you checkin, it gets automatically included?

I'll try to reproduce this here (tomorrow), and see what I can find. Sorry for letting your post in the other forum scroll off the urgent pile

To be honest, I'm not sure what the VS best practice is for storing solution files - I've seen people advocate for both having it in and out of source control.

Mostly, we have to worry about Vault supporting either case :)

Anyone else out there with opinions?

This should work as you describe. In the MergeBranches operation, MyProduct3.0 would be the origin, MyProduct would be the target, and you would choose the first and last versions in MyProduct3.0 to apply changes to MyProduct. If you didn't choose versions in MyProduct3.0 that encompass the Add Feat...

This has been on our todo list for awhile, but didn't make it in 2.0. We'll add your name to the ever-growing list of people who have requested it :)

Good question - I don't think we've run into that scenario before. So, I just did a quick test on VS.Net 2003. I added 3 projects, all to different locations on disk (and to different folders in Vault), and then added the solution file. VS.Net complained twice when adding the solution file (somethin...

Hmm. Is this the first user added after activating the license or did you upgrade from a previous version, and then try to add the user? Also, can the existing users still login? One thing to try would be to deactivate your license, then activate it again. If that doesn't work, email me your license...

Thanks for the encouragement. We like Vault too :) Answers to your questions: 1. The structure you have looks fine, as long as ClientX remains a peer of or outside MainProduct (e.g., ClientX should never be underneath MainProduct). The new MergeBranches command should work well for you - choose Main...

Upgrading to the latest IE should work, as would following the instructions in the MS knowledge base article.

Thanks for the report - we have seen this on uninstalls of the Vault client, but not on installs. We have a KB article at http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic ... t+explorer, but it mostly just links to the same Microsoft article you linked to :)

Try this:

(That was just added from an internal knowledge base article - we are in the process of moving them to this site).

To be honest, this has not made it onto our testing radar yet. I'll add it to our feature request list though.
